GRACEFUL and SPACE TAXI 3 hit the shelves!!

Hi!! I’m excited to announce that GRACEFUL is out TODAY, April 28th!! This time it’s REALLY the last book in the Willow Falls series! THE LAST PRESENT is out in paperback today too, so it’s a great time to catch up on the series if you’re behind. On a personal note, these books have been a joy to write, and I can’t thank you enough for your support. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on it, and I hope it wrapped up the way you’d have hoped (with a few surprises thrown in there!) I’m going to miss those characters! If you would like a personalized/signed copy of GRACEFUL (or any of the books) for yourself or a gift for a friend, feel free to contact my local bookstore to arrange—Sparta Books, 973-729-6200.
Graceful cover 2
plot…
The mysterious Angelina D’Angelo has left town to see the world. It’s now Grace’s turn to use her magic to protect the people of Willow Falls, and she’s up to the challenge. This is her destiny, after all. But destiny is a funny thing—it doesn’t always behave the way you’d expect it to. All your favorite characters are back and you get to glimpse their futures…even before they do!
And the third book in the SPACE TAXI SERIES is out!!!
spacetaxi3cover
Space Taxi 3: Archie’s Alien Disguise
Archie Morningstar’s dad drives a taxi through outer space. And with the help of a talking cat named Pockets, Archie and his dad help fight crime across the universe! In the third book in this early reader series, the three travel to a Medieval planet to rescue a princess who has three eyes, green hair, and an attitude!

A special THANK YOU to everyone who suggested slogans for the harmonicandy in THE CANDYMAKERS AND THE GREAT CHOCOLATE CHASE.  I used so many of them in the book! Also a lot of your ideas of new candies and stories about road trips also made it in! (keep those comin’ if ya got ’em!) More updates as I finish up!

Happy Spring!

    Hi Wendy!

I can’t wait to read Graceful! I pre-ordered it in December. I wasn’t expecting it o arrive the day it came out, so I was really excited when my mom gave it to me! I’m really sad that it’s gonna be the last book in the Willow Falls series. I read 11 Birthdays in 3rd or 4th grade (I think 4th), and now I’m almost finished 8th grade! I’ve read every book in the series as soon as it came out. I own all of them! So really, for me (and I’m sure a lot of other people feel this way), Graceful coming out is bittersweet, you know what I mean?

But on a happier note, I can’t wait for the Candymakers sequel to come out! Are there any other sequels to look forward to? Or maybe a new series?

Keep writing the best books ever!

    -Rena

It’s finally here! I hope you like it and yes stay tuned for more books as I keep writing them!

      • Vivianna on September 28, 2016 at 6:08 pm

Maybe you’ll become like Angeliana DeAngelo and live for a lonnnnnnng while (or does Angelina live forever) so you can keep writing. And maybe one day you’ll be writing another letter to go on the next WILLOW FALLS book, how you really though the last books was the last. ????. But even if you don’t, I’ll be stick in around waiting for the next WENDY MASS book! (Although I’m going to have to wait for it to hit the shelfs… Of the library.) Best of luck in future books, and lots of love, ❤

      Hi Wendy,

I’m such a HUGE fan of the Willow Falls series. I’ve read them all many times. I loved Graceful and my favorite characters throughout the series have been Amanda and Leo. I wish you could make another book telling about all of their lives as adults and their children. I would love to hear how Amanda and Leo turned out, or why Rory didn’t marry Jake. I know so many fans would love this book. Thank you for the Willow Falls series.

      Your biggest fan,
      Anjali Khanna

I would also love to read a book about when they become adults, I love the idea!

    Hi Wendy!

Graceful was really good! I liked how each person told it in a different format, my favorites were Amanda, Grace and David’s. I also enjoyed Tara’s part and what she discovers…

Somehow, my bookstore had it on the 23rd so I read it then(?)!

Hugs and birdseed, ( For Max and Flo!)

OH MY GOSH, Wendy Mass, I have been waiting since OCTOBER FOR THIS BOOK TO COME OUT!!! I AM IN LOVE with the Willow Falls series, and while I am super excited for the last book, I am so sad that this series is coming to an end! I love the characters so much, and I love your writing style. You are one of my favorite authors and this is one of my favorite series. I can’t wait to finally read Graceful! 🙂

  4. Autumn on April 28, 2015 at 7:02 pm

Hi, I LOVE your books. Have you ever met Heather Vogel Frederick? I really like her books, too. Chris Colfer’s “Land of Stories” are some of my favorite books, also! I can’t wait until I read Graceful and CM2.

    Autumn

    • Wendy Mass on June 10, 2016 at 4:18 pm

I enjoy their books as well! CM2 will be here Aug 2cd. Happy Summer!

    • Jenny on November 9, 2017 at 3:27 pm

Autum, by any chance, have you read The Mother Daughter Book Club series by Heather Vogel Frederick?
Also, CM2 was great, and I loved it almost as much as I love The Willow Falls series!

  5. John Baca on April 28, 2015 at 7:36 pm

    Hi Wendy,

I would like to get a couple of these books for my daughter’s birthday.
To make it extra special, is there a place to order these books that have been signed by you and your husband?

If not, would you entertain me shipping out two books to you to sign with return postage included?

I’m in Arizona, so visiting a book signing isn’t realistic, although if my daughter doesn’t stop talking about you, then we may have to make a trip out of it.

    Kind Regards,
    JB

    • Wendy Mass on June 4, 2018 at 9:52 am

If you’d like autographed books for yourself, your school, as gifts, etc, I’m partnering up with Sparta Books, my wonderful local indie bookstore. If you call them and place an order and tell them you’d like them signed, I’ll go in and sign them, they’ll mail them out. Voila & thank you!

  6. A Random Person on April 28, 2015 at 8:22 pm

    • Wendy Mass on June 21, 2016 at 8:15 pm

If I hear of a movie and auditions I will definitely announce it on my website!

  7. Jordan on April 28, 2015 at 9:34 pm

Ahhhhhhh!!!!! thank you so much Wendy Mass for doing another book in the Willow Falls series Im super bummed because I ordered Graceful online and thought it be coming to my house today (I literally checked everywhere around my porch) but it looks like I have to wait another 2 to 3 days

Ps: I really would love if you gave me a hint about Lemanda’s relationship there my favorite couple and I would be sooooooooooo happy if you responded since my comments have not been going through for like a really long time thanks so much!!!

    • Wendy Mass on December 10, 2022 at 11:01 am

LOL at Lemanda!! I hadn’t heard that before. I’m sorry about the comments not posting, a disconnect on this end for sure. I hope your copy of Graceful showed up on your porch eventually and that you enjoyed it! I’m sending a big hug back through time for when you first wrote this!! xx Wendy

  8. Jaime on April 28, 2015 at 9:39 pm

My 9 year old daughter is plowing through your books and hugged The Candymakers tonight when she finished it while she begged me not to wait another day to get another one of your books!! Thank you for capturing my daughter’s interest and love for reading in each and every one of your stories. To my great excitement, on this very day, there is another story out today!! Please keep on writing,
    Jaime

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 7:19 pm

Thank you for writing me on how she hugged the book! I remember doing that myself when I was young. I hope she enjoys the sequel which is now in stores just as much! ????????

Hi Mrs.Mass!!! I am so excited to get my hands on your book!! I have been using your books for my monthly book reports haha and I’m excited to use Graceful for my May book report. Your series has been so amazing and thank you so so so much for writing the Willow Falls Series. I love how you put a little of everything in your book (mystery, romance etc.), it just makes the book so good!

    Your biggest fan,

    • Wendy Mass on August 17, 2016 at 6:57 pm

Putting a little bit of everything into my books makes writing so much fun. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed all of them!

  10. Hailey on April 29, 2015 at 7:07 am

AHHHHH I AM SO EXCITED TO READ GRACEFUL!! I have read all of your books, but the Willow Falls series is definitely my favorite! When I found out you were writing another book to continue in the series, I almost cried I was so happy. I love you and your books so much, you inspired me to start writing. Thank you so so so much!
I also have a road trip story for The Candmakers 2 if you don’t mind… My family used to drive from Florida to New York to visit family all the time and my dad would always talk about opening a diner in the mountains where people could stop to eat. We would talk for hours on end about what it would look like and what we would serve there and it made the trip seem shorter somehow. It was really fun.
Again, thank you sooo much. ( and sorry if this is a bit long ) I can’t wait to read The Candymakers 2 when it comes out.
    -Hailey (arguably your biggest fan)

    Mrs. Mass,
    *EXCITED SCREAM AND HAPPY DANCE*
I’ve had Graceful preordered since Christmas!!! It’s supposed to arrive on May 6th!!!! I’m FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been waiting forEVER!!!! I’m so sad willow falls series are done!! I’ve really gotten to know and love each character!! I’ve read almost ever book you’ve written a million times!!! My goal is to read 11 Birthdays, Finally, 13 Gifts, and The last Present before Gracful arrives!!!
I started reading your books when I was younger then the characters!! Now I’m the same age or older then them!!! I still love all your books even though I’m almost 13!! Do you plan on writing a new series with the same age range and willow falls and Every Soul A Star??? BTW I LOVE Every Soul A Star also!! It’s one of my favorites!! Your also by far my favorite author of ALL TIME!!! I can’t wait to look into all the willow falls characters futures!!! I’m dying with all this waiting!! Although I know your time frame for getting your books published is shorten then most authors!!
My cousin (in her 20s) just found an agent for her book!!!! I’m super EXCITED for it to hopefully get published!! She also has told me the process of writing and publishing books!! I have a new appreciation for authors now!!!

    Much love,

    Camille

P.S. You can make my day by responding!!

    • Wendy Mass on August 17, 2016 at 7:43 pm

    Dear Wendy,
I love the Willow Falls Seris and I got Graceful the day it came out! I actually just finished reading it! Just so you know, you’re my favorite author. When is the Candymakers and the great chocolate chase coming out?

Thank you & Candymakers2 will be here August 2cd! Sooooo close!

  14. Maryam on April 29, 2015 at 4:54 pm

I already have a copy of Graceful! It’s been making me squeal all day and I told my friend over and over again how excited I am about it. I’ll be reading it slowly because I don’t want to just read it in a day and let it be over so soon, and because I want to read it at the same time as another friend so that we can fangirl together. It’s epic so far, though, and I can’t stop smiling about Amanda and Leo. 😀

    • Wendy Mass on June 10, 2016 at 3:02 pm

I do the same thing. I try to read the books I love so slowly!

  15. K8 on April 29, 2015 at 5:56 pm

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
No no no no it can’t end like this. The willow falls series MUST GO ON!!!! Really I feel like I just lost a bunch of great friends when I ended the book. I know that’s rediculious but still it’s true. But really it just can’t end like that! PLEASE MISS WENDY PLEASE WRITE ANOTHER BOOK IN THE WILLOW FALLS SERIES PLEASE!!!!!! Or even just a new series with the same characters!! Please just don’t let them go and say goodbye like that please.

  16. K8 on April 29, 2015 at 6:16 pm

What about a road trip to retrieve something that was lost or stolen. Like a secret recipe……..
As for candy ideas what about “The Gummy Hairband” like a super strong and withstanding gummy worm in the shape of a Hairband. Yes most likely only girls would use it but still. Just a quick idea. Hope you like it.

    • Wendy Mass on June 21, 2016 at 8:13 pm

A road trip is always a good thing!

  17. Bailey on April 29, 2015 at 9:40 pm

I went to the bookstore and got Graceful yesterday!!!!!! I first read Eleven Birthdays when I was ten or eleven, and I have LOVED the series ever since. I got all of the books (except Graceful) for my birthday last month, so that I could re-read them before Graceful came out. 😉 Graceful was soooo amazing! I loved the letter to your readers at the beginning of the book, and how each character had a different format (Leo’s awesomesauce poems, Rory’s texts, etc.). The ending was so great and it was even better than I could have dreamed! I was hoping for an epilogue of what happened to Amanda, Leo, Rory, Jake, Tara, David, Grace, and Connor, but you did even more than that! It was sweet. Thank you so, so, so much for writing this amazing series that I literally think about almost everyday, and being super awesome! I can’t wait to read more of your books, and someday hope that I can be half as good of a writer as you are. Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    Bailey

P.S. An extra thanks for naming Grace’s best friend Bailey, because that’s my name, and I totally felt like I was part of the story even more. You rock. 🙂

    • Wendy Mass on August 17, 2016 at 6:55 pm

I love the name Bailey! I look forward to reading your books one day!

  18. Libni on April 29, 2015 at 11:01 pm

    Hey, Wendy!
Just finished Graceful a few hours ago!!! TOTES AWESOME SAUCE!! I can’t believe the twist ending! And how all of the characters of Willow Falls turned out like!! Loved it!

    • Wendy Mass on June 21, 2016 at 8:13 pm

Thank you & best praise are the words – “loved it”!

  19. Gillian on April 29, 2015 at 11:32 pm

Just bought Graceful, and I am looking foward to reading it! You are my favorite author, and you inspire me to write! But when I graduate high school, I want to work at *Archie Comics Publications inc* I felt that I should mention that because I have a personal theory that your a life long archie fan! (Like Me ;D) Has anyone else notice this? She mentions them in almost every other book! (Jermy fink, 13 gifts, leap day, and space taxi to name a few) You need to come to Texas so I can meet you, and you can autograph my books (I have almost all of yours) I hope I dont sound like too much of a stalker….. anyways, as Grace would say, “You are totes awesomesauce!” Cant wait for the candy makers 2! Why did willow falls have to end!!!! 🙁 At least I know it will end perfectally! 🙂 (Maybe you should make a spin off series)

    Love you sooooo much xx,
    GILLIBEAN 😀
P.S. was I right about you reading Archiecomics?
P.P.S what address can I send my “Wendy Mass Collage” to?

    • Wendy Mass on December 10, 2022 at 6:32 pm

Hi!! Sorry for just seeing this, ha on Archie comics, yes was a big fan!! I didn’t realize I’d put them in all those books lol. (I mean, I knew Archie was the space taxi kid but didn’t think that’s where his name came from, but hey, maybe subconsciously it did!). Glad to meet a fellow fan! I hope you’ve been well and hugs to you!! Wendy

  20. Wendy Mass Fan on April 29, 2015 at 11:48 pm

Wow, Graceful was amazing! I just finished it and can’t believe the series is already over. I would love to see more of the characters but the last present feels all wrapped up now! (haha…sorry). Loved how all the characters had different ways we got to see their points of view–Leo’s poems were hilarious.

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:55 am

Sooo glad you liked the poems! That was the hardest part to write! I wanted to make sure they sounded Leo-ish enough, and i’d never written in his voice before. it turned out to be fun though. I’m really glad it wrapped up the last present (and i like your pun!!) Hugs!
      Wendy

      • Amber on November 9, 2015 at 9:44 pm

I can’t believe it. I LOVE the willow falls series and it’s over. I just wish it could continue like with all of Team Grace’s children telling they’re story. I just wanted to say that I loved The Last Present it was my favorite! Maybe I’ll try the Twice upon a time series.

      • Neomi on March 14, 2016 at 12:24 pm

        Dear Wendy Mass,

Thank you so much for writing so many page-turner novels. What I like most about your books is that they are inspiring and relatable. I remember sitting on a red couch, procrastinating and reading a battered copy of “Every Soul a Star” after school. A few minutes later I finished it and slowly closed the book, thinking to myself “I never knew how much went on in space!”
I’m sure you have influenced countless others to change the world. Because of you, people are becoming educated by reading your books. For example, in “A Mango Shaped Space”, you talk about a girl with synesthesia, something that not many people know about. Thanks to you, if I ever meet a synesthete, I will know more or less what they are experiencing.
I hope to meet you someday, to find out how you write such amazing stories. Maybe you could come to my school and talk to us. You are an extraordinary author.
        Keep writing,
        Neomi

        • Wendy Mass on March 26, 2016 at 8:35 am

Thank you for this thoughtful letter. I love visiting schools so I might come to yours one day. There is so much to learn about so many things isn’t there? It is what makes life interesting and fun. Keep reading!

    • Angel on March 31, 2016 at 10:56 pm

I loved Graceful, but the last present was the best book out of the whole series!! It would be great if you write more stories in the willow fall series like when they are grown up and stuff about their lives then Angelina appears…. The last present was a super awesome it was really funny and it kinda made me cry!!! You are my favourite author I am dying to read the next book you publish!!!

      • Wendy Mass on April 5, 2016 at 7:43 pm

    I love your books.
I love Philip. I can’t wait to see Philip in the book. Does Daisy really have an older brother?
I got my friend to fall for Logan and Miles. She says I can have Philip.
Every soul a star should be a movie. Or a tv show. Are you going to write a sequel?
Anyway. I love your books. Can’t wait to read Graceful.

  23. Julia on April 30, 2015 at 6:49 pm

Hi Wendy! I’m OVER THE MOON excited about Graceful and have been trying to squeeze as many previews out of Amazon I can get! 🙂 I’ve tried contacting over comments a few time, but I understand you’re extremely busy with all that new book jazz.
Anyway, I was wondering if you have any tips for beginning writers like me? Your books have more than inspiring–and still being under thirteen years old–it’s a bit of a struggle to get started. I’ve been trying to take notes from all of your interviews a lot and they’ve really helped.
In fact, I’m doing Eleven Birthdays for a book report. It’s one of my favorites because it kind of was the first to introduce us to the wonderful world of Willow Falls.
    Hugs,
    Jules

    • Wendy Mass on June 21, 2016 at 8:12 pm

I love your term “new book jazz”! Here some tips from my site:
      A. Read. Read everything you can, but especially read the type of material you like to write. Take creative writing classes and share your work with your peers whenever possible–in school, summers, online, etc. It’s great practice. It really helped me to keep notebooks with ideas that I would add to whenever I thought of one, or learned something interesting, or overheard something. That way when I wanted to write a story, I didn’t have to face an empty page. Ideas aren’t as hard to come by as you might think. I once heard the great Paula Danziger say that ideas come from only three places–Experience, Observation, and Imagination. And we all do those things every day. A writer is someone who writes. Just by writing, you’re already there.

  24. Danielle on April 30, 2015 at 8:50 pm

    HI
Wendy, I love the Willow Falls series I have read all of the books. I just finished reading graceful. It is awesomesauce. Does it have to be the last book? I sort of wanted to know what happened to the characters to get them to their future.
PS. I love the series ( I think its my favorite)
    Please write back 🙂
    sincerely,
    Danielle

Hi. I finished Graceful, and I LOVED the epilogue!!!! 😀

My heart swelled at the last sentence: “A minute later, David and his son begin to sing.”

God, when I read he and Tara had a kid? Just OMG. And Rory’s family? Did she have kids with Jake? (Forgive me if it’s already mentioned; I kinda skimmed the last few chapters.) And no Amanda/Leo kids? Please tell me they have kids in the future.

All in all, great book! This review is kinda rambling and didn’t make much sense, but I’ll write a different one soon. I love how Rory actually got a real phone. XD

I’m out for now. But that book was TOTES AWESOMESAUCE! xoxo, Azaleah

Not rambling at all and my heart swelled when reading your heart did!

  28. Brittania on May 1, 2015 at 4:19 pm

Graceful was such a good book! I couldn’t have asked for a better ending than this! Even though I am so sad it is over, it was such a good book. I loved how you wrote it by having Amanda write in her diary and Leo and his poetry. I can’t explain how much I love this series! These books are what got me to read! I started reading this series in 5th grade, and I am now in 9th grade. Even though these books are written for kids a little younger than me now, these are still by far my favorite books! Thank you so much for taking time to write these wonderful books that I have come to love! <3

I just got the book Graceful in the mail yesterday, and I read it in a few hours. I LOVED it!!!! Thanks for writing another book!

  30. Elizabeth on May 2, 2015 at 11:09 am

    Hi wendy,
I am so excited to read graceful it looks like a great book and I have read all the other Willow Falls books. I was wondering if you are going to do a book signing anytime soon, preferably in New York or Albany New York because that’s where I live and that be so awesome! It is my DREAM to meet you. Also I was wondering if you are going to wright another series after graceful. It would be awesome and I would read all the books in a heart beat.
    Yours truly,
One of the many lovers of your books (Elizabeth)

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:41 am

Hi Elizabeth! I think the closest I’ll be to that area is at the Chappequa Book Festival (http://www.ccbfestival.org/) on October 3rd, 2015. I hope you like Graceful when you read it. Not sure about a new series right now, but I’ll let you know if it happens. :o)
      Happy reading!
      xo

  31. Sarah Leia on May 2, 2015 at 12:40 pm

I just want to say thank you for the books that shaped my life. I picked up 11 Birthdays in 4th grade, my best friend and I read the whole series and everything else by you. It was so rare to find books about elementary/middle school kids that didn’t bore us, but we could really connect to your characters and still enjoy the book and now I’ve grown up with these characters and their thoughts intermingling with mine. I was so happy when Amanda got to hang out with Tracy and Emma again, and when Connor (who I always loved) got to actually work with an inventor who took him seriously and Tara and David were adorable and DID I MENTION LEO AND AMANDA!. Anyway, I’m a freshman in high school now and you’re still one of the best authors I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Your characters are so real and you have killer plots, and I can’t wait for the Candymakers’ sequel!!!!! Sorry this was spaztic. Thank you for existing.

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:36 am

Thank you so much for those super-kind words and for still reading the books as you got older, and for sharing with me the part they played in your life. What more could a writer dream of? Thank you for welcoming the characters into your life and heart in that way, and I’m so glad the ending worked for you, especially with Leo and Amanda! (had to take on out the one spoiler line but you know what i mean ;o). I’m glad you liked the Connor part, he’s such a good egg! (not sure where that expression comes from, but it fits for him. :o)
      Thank YOU for existing!!

O.M.G. I finished Graceful a few days ago, and it is the best book in the Willow Falls Series. How did you have the creativity to find a way to incorporate all their futures in one tree? I think about you everyday, you are the best author ever!

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:26 am

SO glad you liked it!!! lol about their futures in one tree, that comment must sound really strange to someone who hasn’t read Graceful yet. ;o)
I hadn’t intended to go into their futures when i started writing the book, then it just seemed natural, and helped to bring ME closure, too.
      Hug to you!!
      Wendy

  33. Jennifer on May 2, 2015 at 10:07 pm

I was so excited when I read that Team Grace would be having another adventure, and I was not disappointed at all by Graceful. I practically flew to a bookstore to pick up a copy, and it was well worth it. The feeling of closure it gave me after following the series over the years was really fantastic, and while I am a bit sad that the series is over, I am satisfied by the way you ended it. The way it was put together was especially interesting; I particularly enjoyed the combination of regular narration, emails, letters, texts, and journals. I didn’t know what to expect when I turned the page, and I loved that.
Anyway, thanks for giving us another adventure to follow. It was a wonderful ride! I can hardly wait to read The Candymakers 2!
    Happy Spring and Happy Writing!
    – Jen

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:24 am

Hi Jen, thank you soooo much for your comments! As you pointed out the format of the book was really different, i wanted to give all the characters a chance to speak, and tried to make each section sound like that character. I’m really glad it worked for you! (Leo’s poems were the hardest part to write!). I’m really glad it gave you a good sense of closure, too. That was my goal. ;o)
      Thanks again! Hugs!

  34. Leah on May 2, 2015 at 10:55 pm

Words cannot express how glad I am that you chose to write one more final Willow Falls book! I just finished reading Graceful, and it was absolutely amazing! You couldn’t have given a better ending to the series. The small previews into the future had me flailing and fangirling all over the place!! :’D And I loved the way you chose to write this one, how it was written from Grace’s perspective but we got to see into all of the other character’s lives as well. I just can’t express how grateful I am from the Willow Falls books. I love a lot of books, but this series will always hold a super special place in my heart, and I know I’ll be going back to them for years to come. <3

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:21 am

Thank you for your beautiful words, they mean a lot to me. Love the “flailing and fangirling” image! I admit i cried my way through writing the ending, like they were my own kids I was sending off into their futures and I only wanted the best for them, but also wanted to make sure the readers felt satisfied. Thank you so much welcoming them into your heart all these years! xo Wendy

  35. Emi on May 3, 2015 at 3:44 pm

I read Graceful and it was AMAZING!!! It’s so sad that the series has ended but now I’ll just have to keep re-reading the books instead 😉
When will the new candymakers book come out? I can’t wait!

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:17 am

So glad you liked it!! CM2 still aiming for next spring. fingers crossed! ;o)

  36. Alex on May 4, 2015 at 6:13 pm

Wow! I JUST finished Graceful and I was sooo happy with it.
I do wish this wasn’t the last book though. I purchased the audio book for ‘the last present’ and I listened to the little interview with you and the narrator. You mentioned writing a book for Grace, but I had lost hope that they would ever come out, so when Graceful came out, I was literally shaking my sister and screAming: IT HAS COME, IT HAS COME! I’m pretty sure she thought I was crazy.

    XO, Alex

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:15 am

LOL, Alex!! I’m so glad you liked it and thanks for listening to that interview, it was fun! I remember at the time thinking i couldn’t imagine writing another one and now here we are! I had to take out the spoiler from your comment, but thank you for saying you felt that part was more realistic this way,i had hoped readers would think that but was anxious to hear! Sorry for being vague to everyone else reading this! ;o)
      All my best!

Yay!!! Also I got The Last Present in paperback at a Scholastic book fair almost a year ago. How is that possible?

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:09 am

Sometimes Scholastic will make their own versions for sale at the book fairs, so some paperbacks come out early that way. Love the book fairs! :o)

I love the Willow Falls series so much and I just finished reading Graceful. I’m so sad to see the legacy end but also happy at the same time. Maybe, just Maybe, you could release a short story, not a whole novel, telling us that it’s not really over. That somewhere else a girl like Grace is now taking on the responsibilities of the vortex. P. S. I can’t wait for Candymakers 2!!!!

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 9:05 am

A short story could definitely crop up one day, not a bad idea! Just have to finish CM2 first, it’s getting looooong. ;o)

  40. Haley on May 7, 2015 at 9:36 pm

Okay I LOVE your books. You are my favorite author. My friends don;t like you because they say you copied a series from another author called Once Upon a Time but you call it something else. I was at the book store today and I couldn’t find any books to read. I bend down to look on the bottom shelf. I came up and I saw a book called 13 Gifts. I took it off the shelf and I saw the cover. I saw the the authors name Wendy Mass. I remember the book I have 11 Birthdays and I relized it was the same author. I knew for a fact I would get it. Then I saw a book next to it called The Last Present. I knew I was going to get that too. I starting looking for awhile. I saw another book called Pi in the Sky. I was like I doesn’t look intresting, but it was from you so I got it. I asked if they have the book Finally. When I got in my mom’s car, I starting to read your last book The last present. I didn’t know it was a series yet until I read the books on this website. Anyway, do more series please.

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 6:08 pm

Did you end up liking Pi In the Sky? I wrote a sequel to The Candymakers and I hope you like it too! ????????

  41. Riley Green on May 9, 2015 at 10:39 pm

Hi Wendy! So, one day I was in Barnes and Noble. I saw a book I liked and picked it out. But, my mom bought Mango-Shaped-Space for me also. I got home, and I finished my book that I originally bought. So, I was looking for another book to read. I thought, “Why not give it a try?” I picked it up, and within the PROLOGUE I was absorbed. I finished reading it, and I did a book report on it. I introduced it to my friend Chloe. Later, we were looking through a Storyworks magazine we got at school, and we saw an add for a character contest. We COMPLETELY freaked out! But, unfortunately, our teacher handed them out late, past the due date. I was So disappointed. My other friends, Jessie, Adriana, and Jackie liked the book also. But at the end of the book, I was a teeny-weeny bit disappointed. it kind of had a dis-satisfying ending. I really wanted to know what happened next! Did Adam come back to win her back? Did she get Mustard and did HE grow up? Did she date (I think it was Robert…)? Did something COMPLETELY crazy happen? And I REALLY wanted to know. So I was wondering if you could make a sequel. It would make me overjoyed!!!!! Also, maybe I could give you some ideas? Love, Riley. PS, You are an inspiration to me and you’re my favorite author and I want to be JUST like you when I grow up! ILY! -Riley

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 8:59 am

      Hi Riley,
I’m glad you liked Mango, the end was supposed to imply that yes, she got Mustard and he lived to a ripe old age! Maybe he’s still living now! ;o) I hope that helps! Otherwise ,I think Mia’s in a really good place so no sequel in the works for that one. Maybe she’ll pop up in another book one day though, ya never know. Hi to your friends, too!
      xo

  42. Analisse on May 10, 2015 at 8:48 am

The story was awesome, and i also just read a book called “We Were Liars” by E. Lockheart, and was wondering if you were ever considering to write more books like Leap Day and Heaven looks a lot like a mall and Mango-shaped space. Teenage young adult romance fiction. I especially love how mango-shaped space isn’t all happily ever after fairy tale like, but realistic as well. I hope you’re starting a new series soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With great love to the person who told me “there are no such thing as coincidences”, “life is short, eat dessert first”, and to “be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.”, Analisse

P.S. When is the Candymaker and the chocolate challenge coming out? I can’t wait to read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Wendy Mass on May 10, 2015 at 8:56 am

I’m glad you liked it! (had to take out your spoiler, as you pointed out, but will say–not his brother…will have to go back into the book to see where that idea came from ;o)
Maybe one day i’ll write more YA books, but for now just looking forward to finishing Candymakers 2. Still slated for next spring at this point. xoxo

I loved Graceful sooo much especially Leo’s poems and that picture of Rory and Jake surprised me a lot maybe you can show us a picture of all of them (I really want to see how Amanda and Tara look)

Ps: I don’t think I would ask for another way for Graceful to turn out (especially Amanda and Leo’s future:)
Thank you for an AMAZING Series Wendy Mass!!!!

  44. kate on May 10, 2015 at 9:43 pm

I loved all of the books in the series and i say that Graceful should not be the last book in the series! You should make a book about there future or after the vortex gets shut down or when the are all a little bit older!

  46. Stella on May 12, 2015 at 9:56 am

About 5 months ago I went to your website for the first time and saw that Graceful would be coming out! I totally freaked, and went to my library website and pre-requested it. As soon as I got it I read it (even though I had assigned books to read… :0). All I can say is OMG! I LOVED it, especially the girl’s peeks into the future.
I first got 11 Birthdays around my eleventh birthday. I read it a thousand times (read it yesterday) and it is practically falling apart. Then I eventually found the rest of the books at the library, and devoured them. I still read them, even though I will be a freshman in High school next year. I just want you to know that you have inspired me so much, Wendy. Keep on writing awesome books!

The sad part it, there won’t be anymore Willow Falls books :'( Too bad you couldn’t write from their kids P.O.V.’s, which would be awesome! Anyway, I’m so excited for CM2!!! I read the first one, as a recommendation from my friend, and I loved it! I hope it comes out soon! -Crys

Hi Wendy Mass! I KNOW I’ve written to you about a million times and everytime I sent one out it said ” I had already sent that message” so I don’t know, maybe I’m sort of dumb for thinking you’ll see this this time. But even if you do it will neeeeeeever eveeeeeeer evvvvvveeeer explain my feelings for you and your books. I always cry when I read your books, even if there isn’t necessarily a sad part in the book. Your books mean the world to me. I’ve read all your books at least one time and I can’t sleep at night from thinking about your books. All your books are written so so so nicely. In 3rd grade I hated reading. I wanted to enjoy it, but I just couldn’t. And then I picked up Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life from the library. I loved it. I started reading more and more books, and by the time I finished all of your books, I was in love with books. Right now, one of the only things I like in life ARE books! If I didn’t like books I don’t think I would be the person I am- and you were the one that made that happen. Right now I am kinda’ve really too old for your books, but I would never stop reading them. NEVER EVER EVER! I wish I could meet you. I pray at night all the time! And I could write forever and ever about this but my mom is calling me and I have to get off my phone. P.S I have a signed copy of your books but they say my moms name on them signed b you:) I hope you continue to write more books because it would break my heart. I love you even though I don’t know you. Thank you soo much. Please come to D.C!!

    • Wendy Mass on May 19, 2015 at 7:42 pm

Your comment made it through! Thanks for not giving up, and for the truly lovely thoughts you shared with me. Wow on reading Jeremy Fink in 3rd grade! I was a huge book kid myself, but i think it was the Narnia books (also in 3rd grade!) that did it to me. I’m not sure how old you are now, but i do have two books for teens (Leap Day and Heaven Looks a Lot Like the Mall). Maybe those would be good options for you. Thank you again for sharing, it means tons!!!
      Hugs!!

I love this series. It is really special to me. All of it fills me with suspense and joy inside my head and I loved it so much. I have been reading it for the past two years and it absolutely inspired me. When are you planning to write another book in the series? Because they changed my life and now Wendy Mass is my favorite author. I always love the Willow Falls series. At first, I saw the book in my classroom and I wondered if I should read and it turned out I couldn’t put it down. I now feel like that is my life and I love every book in the whole series. I hate reading books twice because I know what is going to happen, but I had to read these again to make me feel better. These books sort of shaped me and I’m going to continue reading these forever and ever. THANK YOU FOR WRITING THESE BOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Wendy Mass on May 19, 2015 at 7:39 pm

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment! It’s definitely a strange job to get to create this world inside your head that winds up living inside other people’s heads! I remember reading a quote once that said something like, “we live our lives inside our heads, it’s our job to decorate it well.” I probably mangled that, but thank you for letting me help decorate, i hope i did it well! I hope you were happy with how it ended. Hugs to you!

I wanted to ask you about the Candymakers sequel. Do you have the date when it will come out? I really loved the first book. I also wanted to ask you if you are thinking of writing another series or adding books to previous ones. 52. Annika on May 20, 2015 at 9:53 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,
Hi! I’m Annika, and I was just at the Livingston Library event. I’m the girl with the ten books, remember? Anyway, I would like to tell you how much you have inspired me and without you, I wouldn’t have wanted to become an author or have an idea about a novel that I will write. Since the first book I’ve read from you was Sleeping Beauty from the Twice Upon a Time series, when I heard you would be making a fourth one I was thrilled. I have a few ideas. I think the story should either be about Ariel or Snow White, mainly because they are very popular and very easy and fun to do a twist to. I don’t know what the twist should be; that is up to you. It is also fine if you don’t take my suggestions. You are my favorite author and a great role model! 🙂

    From,
    Annika

    • Wendy Mass on May 17, 2018 at 8:02 pm

How can I forget the girl carrying 10 books! You have terrific ideas too. Thank you for writing. I can only get to these in between books so sorry it took me a while. xo

Wendy I just finished Graceful and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are an amazing author and my fav. The way you can make beautiful works of art is amazing. I’ve read this book series more than any other books I own, and I own over 100. I also adore reading Leap Day and Heaven Looks a lot like a mall. They will never bore me and if I ever become a teacher, I will make at least two of your books a required reading. I ordered the twice upon a time series from amazon and cannot wait to start! I am also looking forward to reading the squeal to the candymakers. I also have Jeremy Fink and the meaning of life and will read that very soon. Thank you so much for filling my childhood with the crazy adventures of the whole gang from Willow Falls, the young candymakers, a girl who will always have pizza on her birthday, and a girl who realizes how much she sparkles. I will miss Leo’s poems, Amanda’s helpfulness, Rory’s unique talent of blending in and standing out, Tara’s tallness making her stand out, David’s quirkiness, Connor’s smartness, and, of course, Ray’s charming accent, Grace’s matureness (I think that’s a word), and Angelina’s duck-shaped birthmark. I hope that the book I am currently writing will one day be called amazing, just like yours are. Thank you for everything.

    Mrs. Wendy Mass,
I absolutely ADORED Graceful!!!! Willow Falls has always been one of my favorite series so I was extremely excited for it and thus probably drove my friends crazy with all my “It comes out in only four days!!”
    “What?”
    “GRACEFUL!!!!! I’M SO EXCITED!!” I did that a lot….
And it was a fantastic book, totally with the wait. 🙂 It was perfect.
    Thank you for writing books!
    Haley
    P. S. I’m not sure if you’re still taking suggestions, but my idea for Harmonicandy is “A Melody in your Mouth!” Unless someone already did that, in which case, never mind

I love Melody in Your Mouth! Thank YOU for reading my books and immensely enjoying Graceful! xo

  56. Rosalia on May 26, 2015 at 10:46 am

Wow so me and my sister FINALLY got Graceful from the library and we LOVED IT! (Sorry in advance for any typos – my little brothers hanging on my knee and hitting buttons. Great.)
Anyway, i really loved the book. The (whoops, spoiler. lemme rephrase that…) “one person’s romance thing” thing at the end was a HUGE surprise…. still sorting THAT out in my head :o) I’m probably going to sound weird for saying this…. but I’m gonna miss Angelina most XD. I’m also really glad David’s OK now (Lol that sound weird – speaking about him like he’s “real”!) but I think it’s awesome, all the great things Grace did.
This sounds so strange to me, cuz I’ve got a sister named Grace, AND a sister named Angelina!! So great names 😀
And I’m CRAZY EXCITED about CM2!!! I loved the first one so much (Logan’s my favorite!) and can’t wait to see what happens next! A long book is fine by me – I’d rather spend my time reading your books then pretty much anything else. Which is saying something, because as a sophmore in high school, theres PLENTY i could be doing!!
So thanks again for the great books. I still rub it in to my sister how I found 11 Birthdays, (not her), and therefore found us our new favorite author!! Keep up the great work, and good luck on CM2!!!
    Happy May,
    Rosalia 🙂

Thank you! 45 minutes? I think you have the record for fastest reading time!

  58. Danielle on May 28, 2015 at 7:28 pm

Hi Wendy, I love the Willow Falls series I have read all of the books. I just finished reading graceful. It is awesomesauce. Does it have to be the last book? I sort of wanted to know what happened to the characters to get them to their future. Like who Rory ends up meeting or if she did go out with Jake first and then find the other person. Or when Leo and Amanda started “Going Out”
PS. I love the series ( I think its my favorite)
    Please write back 🙂
    sincerely,
    Danielle

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 5:54 pm

Thank you for this awesomesauce note! Willow Falls has ended but the new Candymakers is now here!????????

  59. Kimberley on May 29, 2015 at 8:31 am

OMG!! Sorry I’m so late on commenting! I looked everywhere in stores for graceful and can’t find it!!! I live in a small town so there are no bookstores and it’s awful! I have to wait 2 weeks to get the book because that’s when we’re visiting a bookstore that has it. I was reading the comments and there were so many spoilers! I can’t wait to read it!!! I’ve been waiting so long! I NEED TO READ IT!!!! Sorry about the capitals but I’m just so insanely excited!! I love the Willow Falls series, it’s amazing and I need to know the ending! Something that’s really sad is that almost no one else in my school knows about your books. So I like to read them in school so people will see them and maybe want to read them. Your books are so awesome!! This comment is getting long, so I’ll wrap it up. Thanks for writing your amazing books, and making me want to read more. Even though I read too much already (according to my mom) I don’t even think reading to much is possible. I read a lot I admit I read books at night sometimes too but your books are just so awesome. Well, bye! Can’t wait to read Graceful! (and CM2 when it comes out!)

I’m sorry…. I’m one of your biggest fans!!!! I have read every single book in the Willow Falls series and even got Graceful a day early because they hadn’t putt on the shelf!!! Anyway….. U said even The Last Present was suppose to be the last book, and it wasn’t. So, I know this will be a challenge, but I would love to see another book in the Willow Falls series. I don’t even know why to read anymore because I finished the best series ever!!! I’m in my teens and it would be my greatest wish for there to be another book! Please think about my wish….. It would mean so much to me!
    Makayla,

I just finished Graceful and now I’m crying because its over and it just happened so suddenly and the ending and it was like there will definitely be no more of Willow Falls ever and I will miss it so much. All of them but especially Leo and Its just driving me crazy.
You’re an amazing writer and I didn’t know you had the power to make me cry like this but you do.

    • Wendy Mass on July 25, 2016 at 5:51 pm

Thank you and I love when books can make me cry. It was very hard to have this series end.

I have been reading these books since I was in fifth grade. I could not stop reading them! I have read the Willow Falls again and again and have made ALL of my friends read them! These books are what made me love to read today! I am now going to be a sophomore in high school and I still adore these books! I know that I am a little too old to be obsessing over these books but I am! I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the series than “Graceful”. Thank you for writing these books that made me love to read! You are the best author out there! Love you! <3

I loved this series! Graceful was a good ending, too! I was wondering if there is any chance the Willow Falls series will come out as a movie? I hope!

    • Wendy Mass on June 10, 2016 at 2:41 pm

Not yet but I would love if it were made into a series!

  67. Nikki on June 12, 2015 at 11:45 am

    Dear Wendy Mass,
I loved the Willow Falls series. My favorite one was 13 Gifts, but they were all really wonderful. I think that you really know how to put amazing surprises in a story that no one knew was coming! They always say “expect the unexpected” but that’s almost impossible when you’re in Willow Falls (except for maybe you, because you wrote the series!) I’ve always loved books where something comes up and you’re like “Wow, I would have NEVER guessed that to happen!” The Willow Falls does exactly that! Thanks for writing this series. It’s really incredible.
    Sincerely, Nikki

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 5:50 pm

Favorite words of praise! Thank you! I hope you like the Candymakers books too! ????????

  68. Chloe on June 14, 2015 at 7:08 pm

I loved your book Graceful so much!!!!!! But at one point you skip ahead 30 years!!!!! That’s really unfair I think most of your readers would like to know what happened in those 30 years. Even though you give a brief description in Rory and the Vortex, Amanda and the Vortex and Tara and the Vortex we would still like some details.
    -Chloe

  69. Emily Stanley on June 15, 2015 at 6:25 pm

Hello there, by the way you are my favorite author !!!!!! Just a few questions about your latest book Graceful. At the very end , I was a little confused. Does Rory end up getting married to Jake or what ? I assume Amanda amd Leo get married. What about Grace and Connor ? I was absolutely glued to this book!!! I must say though my favorite book in the Willow Falls series was Finally!!!!!!! I can really relate to her issues ! How do you come up with all of this ? Sorry if I am blabbering , I can’t help it ! I understand if you don’t have time to respond but I appreciate you taking your time to read this full blown paragraph. 🙂 Looking forward to many more great reads from you !
    God bless,
    Emily

  70. K8 on June 16, 2015 at 6:42 pm

    • Wendy Mass on May 29, 2016 at 11:06 pm

I understand as I felt the same way when I finished writing the last. I will keep writing new books that I hope you enjoy almost as much or who knows maybe even more!

  71. K8 on June 16, 2015 at 6:45 pm

P.S. I’ve tried to post a comment like twenty times and they won’t go through. Hope this one makes it! 😉

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 5:56 pm

Oooooo I like that idea! Happy Reading! ????????

  72. Lulu on June 16, 2015 at 9:17 pm

I love your book! I was reading Graceful at lunch time (when I read I block out everything else) and I suddenly heard the janitor calling my name! She was telling me I was late for class!!! It was definitely worth being late for my keyboarding class, though. I wish there could be another book in the series. I keep rereading them and they are sill just as amazing as the first time I read them.

This might sound really stupid, but if Amanda, Rory, Tara, and Grace were real I feel like I could tell them everything. I have read all of the Willow Falls books, and I think they are totes awesomesauce! When I found out there was another book in the Willow Falls series I screamed and had to go buy it!

Like, half an hour ago I finished A Mango Shaped Space and it was AMAZING!!! I cried when Mango died–it reminded me of when my cat died. I wish I could see colors like that because it sound so cool.

On Saturday I finish reading Leap Day. I read that book in two days! I always wondered what would happen if your birthday was on leap day. Now my question is answered thanks to you!!! 🙂

I also love Every Soul A Star. Now I just HAVE to go see an eclipse no matter what. I was always like, “Yeah, an eclipse. Cool.” but now they sound much more exciting!

You really like to write about time/space, right? In 11 Birthdays Amanda and Leo are stuck in time. They also go back, and get stopped in time. In Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life (also an amazing book) Jeremy trying to back in time.

Okay, I should probably stop there. Most people have commented just on Graceful, but I went on and on about your other books! Sorry… 🙂

Keep writing!!!!! I love your books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    –Lulu

P.S. I really loved The Candymakers!!!!

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 5:58 pm

You are right, I love to write about space and time! Did you see an eclipse yet? Have a great new school year! ????????

  73. Raina on June 18, 2015 at 11:39 pm

Graceful was amazing!! I was so excited for it since I first heard you were writing it, and I bought it the day it came out! I got it on Tuesday afternoon and I finished it on Friday night! I loved everything about it and I really liked how it also had parts from the point of view of the rest of Team Grace! (Minus Bailey) The Willow Falls series will forever be some of my favorite books and I truly believe that they got better with each book. I’m so sad to see it go, but the ending was perfect! I’ll never forget the magical Willow Falls. 🙂

I also love some of your other books and I love them! A Mango-Shaped Space and Heaven Looks a Lot Like the Mall are my other favorites of yours and I’ve been wanting to read Leap Day, too. I also like your Rapunzel book and I really need to finish the Beauty and the Beast one (I started it but only read a little bit). You are such an amazing writer!!!!

Thank you for writing such amazing books! I’m very picky with the books I like and yours are some of my favorites. Keep up the good work!!!!

I LOVE every book in the Willow falls series. I got gracefull 2 days after it came out, and I finished it the next day. IT WAS SO GOOD! And I love the ending, I was really hoping that I would see a little but about the futures of the characters. I also read almost all of your books, and all of them were amazing.
Thank you for writing so many amazing books!

    Hi Wendy!
I still remember discovering 11 Birthdays! I think I was probably 11;) So basically I have grown up with these books which makes them very dear to my heart. Now I am a Sophmore in high school but I was flipping out when I realized Graceful was coming out. I love the humor you incorporate into your books. They are the kind of books you can read over and over again and never get tired. My favorite character will always be Rory! I relate to her SOOOO MUCH! Well Here I am totally rambling. LOL. But just wanted to say thanks a million! And great job on Graceful! You finished strong!

    • Wendy Mass on July 25, 2016 at 5:32 pm

Thank you! Love to hear how the WF characters grew right along with you. I hope you have had a chance to read The Candymakers as the new one comes out Aug 2cd and as we all know one is never too old for candy!???? Have a great summer!

  77. Gabrielle Jones on June 29, 2015 at 7:21 pm

Hello, I just reread “13 Gifts” + “The Last Present” and read “Graceful” in less than 24 hours. It was very difficult for me to put the books down, and when I did, I felt miserable. The series has changed me as a person and has changed the way I think about the world. I have never read a series so relatable and well-written. Many times during I read it, I felt that the characters were friends of mine, because they were incredibly developed. I wish that all of team Grace was real and that I could live in Willow Falls. I would be the happiest girl on the planet. Also, the books were so surprising. Right when I thought I figured something out, I learned that my solution was not Willow-Falls worthy 😉 I am so, so grateful that you wrote the series and am not sure if I could live without it. Please keep on writing fabulous books!
A devoted fan forever, Gabrielle (Age 11.)

P.S. Do you have a favorite character that you enjoyed writing about? My favorite is Amanda, but I adore all of the characters.

P.S.S I received a fish on my 11th birthday, which I named Leo. It was no coincidence 😉

    • Wendy Mass on June 10, 2016 at 2:36 pm

I am honored that you would name your fish Leo! That is a good question on which of my characters is my favorite. Often the character I am writing at the time is my current fave. I promise I will keep writing and hope you enjoy my new books as much or almost as much as Willow Falls. Say hi to Leo!

I would like to say thank you for giving as an idea of what Rory and Jake look like.
    really, thank you.

    Hi wendy!

Love your books! You’re such an amazing writer and I’m a writer myself. I have a great idea for a book but I’m having some trouble do you have any helpful tips to spare to a young writer? I would appreciate anything you can spare. Oh and did I already mention I love your books? The willow falls series is my absolute favorite!!!!

    Love,Taylor xoxoxo :·)

  82. Maera on July 10, 2015 at 10:31 am

    Hi, Wendy!
I’m still reading graceful and so far I love it as much as the rest of the Willow Falls series. Which is A LOT!
I’m so physched about CM2! Maybe u could even make a MSS2 (mango shaped space)? That would be awesome because even though all ur books are super amazing, my favorite is a mango shaped space. Synesthesia is really interestingly! And I love the idea of how Mia’s house is so weird! I really would like to read about what happens with Mustard!!! I’m too old for Space Taxi, but I’m excited that u revised Leap Day and Heaven Looks a Lot Like the Mall because I’m turning twelve soon. ): on Willow Falls ending, though. I just got 11 birthdays from the library last week and have been reading, like, nonstop and I’m already on Graceful!

I also really want to be a writer when I grow up! How do you write books that are so moving and can change your readers’ lives ( because u do!) ? I am such a fan of your books, especially because whenever I read one, I think ” I want to write!” And then I do. And the if I want to be a writer, I need all the practice I can get!

On the behalf of all your other fans, thank you for replying to so many of the comments on this post! If you inspire and amaze everyone else who comments on this as much as you do to me, I’m positive that u made their day. Because just reading one of your books always makes mine.
    Your devoted fan,
    Maera
Ps. Ur my all time favorite author, and to prove it, why else would I be on ur website?! (o:

I was so surprised when in went into chapters and took a peek at the books and Graceful caught my eye! I’m probably going to go back and read the whole series all over again!

    From,
    Another fan:)

  84. Courtney on July 13, 2015 at 12:36 am

Hi, I just wanted to thank you for writing Graceful. I just finished reading it today, and it was amazing. I felt like I was seeing old friends again, and it was the most perfect ending for them. I felt like I was too old to be reading it (I’m 16), but after basically growing up with these books and the characters (I was 11 around when the 11 Birthdays one came out and was obsessed with them ever since), I knew I had to read it. So thank you so much. 🙂

  85. Ruby on July 13, 2015 at 9:09 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,
can I just say that graceful, and the rest of the Willow Falls books are probably the best books I have ever read in my whole entire life!!!!!!!! I reread the whole series in three days! especially graceful. in random parts I just started to cry, not because it was sad, but just because I loved it so much! I remember in third grade, I was reading the series for the first time, and was just in shock and didn’t move for like, three minutes! Your books are the perfect combination of every single thing that should be in a book! The one thing I’m going to ask for here is another book about Rory, and Amanda, and leo, and everyone in team Grace! thank you for being the best author EVER!
ps I’m writing to you from my moms email. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Wendy Mass on August 17, 2016 at 6:54 pm

Oh.My.Gosh. Graceful was such an amazing book. I wanted so much more from the series! I’m so sad it ended! But anyways, Graceful was an amazing ending to the series, and Willow Falls will definitely be my favorite series of all time. I love each of the characters(especially Amanda and Leo, they are literally my favorite book-ship) and I love all the things everyone’s been through. I’ve never been much of a book lover, but when it comes to your books, I’ll read them all! I’ve read the Candymaker(absolutely loved it), Heaven is a lot like a mall(kinda emotional but amazing) and so much more! Your books are absolutely the best and I hope you make tons more!

I was also wondering if you could give me some advise I wrote a small book and I want to get it published how do I start??? I was wondering if you could give me some advise on that anyway that and I really love your books!!!!!!!!

I’m really upset that the Willow Falls series has come to an end. I loved all the books soooooo much!! I read the books out of order, with 11 Birthdays first, The Last Present second, Graceful third, then Finally, and then 13 Gifts, which I just finished reading. I gave all my copies to my best friend and she cant’t wait to read them. I’m still sad it’s come to an end, but I loved it more than anything, and would recommend this

I’ve been reading the Willow Falls series for years now and have fallen in love with the characters! Recently I’ve been re-reading the series and even though we know the futures of all the characters I was hoping that you could make another series with the same characters? Amanda and Leo are my favorites and I really want to see their life in between being 13 and 75!! Haha but anyways thank you for writing this series you are an amazing writer! 🙂

  91. Reagan F. on August 5, 2015 at 1:04 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,
Your books are awesome! I started reading your books in 6th grade when The Candymakers was on top of a book shelf in the school library. I thought the cover looked interesting so I checked it out, and I loved it! I looked up what other books you wrote and I read Every Soul A Star and A Mango – Shaped Space right after that! I’m in 8th Grade now and I am wishing that I could speed up time for CM2! I can’t wait! I just recently read Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, and as I was reading it, I could predict thibgs easily. It turned out that I had watched the movie a few years before and had remembered most of what happened. It was a really weird feeling! I love to write too and I am writing a few books on wattpad.com. I just read Graceful and I love the whole Willow Falls series. It is my favorite series!

  93. Lynnea Dale on August 9, 2015 at 2:38 pm

Oh my goodness, I love the Willow Falls series so much! So so sad to see it end, but it was so amazing!!! I read most of your books shortly after I got into the Willow Falls series, but after finishing Graceful, I went back and reread a bunch of them and was shocked that they’re still just as good as they were when I was younger!! 😉 But I just wanted to say, I would love it so so much if the Willow Falls series became a movie series!! That would be absolutely amazing! Oh, and I also thought that the Beauty and the Beast Twice Upon a Time should be made into a movie as well 🙂 I don’t know how much you can do to make that possible, but all of your fans would love it!!! (So long as the producers didn’t mess it up ;))
Sorry for sort of fangirling 😀
    Love your works!!

  95. Lauren on August 19, 2015 at 5:28 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,

Did you know that the Willow Falls series inspired me to write, like write my own books? I’m really hoping to publish them someday. I remember when I picked up 11 birthdays for the first time. I stayed up all night reading it. I promised myself that I wouldn’t go to sleep until I finished it. And when I did, I ran straight to the library to get the other books. But….. They didn’t have the last one… Only an Audio book. And see the thing is, my old CD player in my room was sooooo quite (with the volume all the way up) that to hear anything, I had to put me ear right up against the speakers to listen to things. And that’s exactly what I did…. Long story short, after reading the series 10000000 more times (exaggeration… Or maybe not) I decided to start writing my self. So for that I have you to thank. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have many favourite authors… But your my most favourite! And if my books ever do get published, please read them, OK?

    Sincerly ~Lauren ????

P.S. Please don’t ever stop writing! I’m going something to read come September when I’m in gr 8!

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 5:45 pm

Thank you for reading my books. I look forward to reading your books one day and I promise I will be writing for a long time to come!

  96. Karuva on August 19, 2015 at 7:22 pm

    Hi Wendy,
I just finished reading Graceful and I loved it! I’m soooo glad you included what would happen in all their futures. For that reason I’m very glad you chose to write another book after The Last Present. 11 BIrthdays was the first book I read of yours, and its become one of my favourites now! All your books are so wonderful, and so realistic! I love them all!
I also wanted to ask why you chose July 14th as Grace and Angelina’s birthdays. I am very curious, for my birthday is also on July 14th. Whatever the reason may be I’m so glad you chose July 14th, it makes the series that much more special!!!!
I have loved all your books, and have read them since I was 11. Now that I have just turned 15 I hope you continue writing more amazing stories, especially for teens!
    – Your Biggest Canadian Fan,
    Karuva M. =D

  97. Addie on August 21, 2015 at 6:47 pm

    Dear Wendy,
The first book I read of yours was Jeremy Fink and The Meaning of Life, and I could not put it down. Just the other day I bought Graceful and absolutely devoured it. The Willow Falls series is so true to real kids, because you write exactly how real kids feel. Willow Falls series is a fantastic mix between realistic fiction and magic popping up at every corner. I am still a kid, only ten, but I love to read and write and I definitley want to be a writer when I grow up. Thank you for inspiring me to read read read and write even more.

    Sincerely,
    Addie

  98. Paige on August 25, 2015 at 12:57 pm

    Dear wendy mass,
I am so terribly sad to see the willow falls series come to an end. Do you think you could make a movie of the willow falls series? I would probably die of happiness if that happened.
I also think it would be very cool if you wrote a book about all of them with Angelina in it.
Thanks for sharing you’re excellent writing with us.
From the biggest willow falls lover of all,
    Paige
Ps: do you know if graceful will be in scholastic book fairs for the 2015-16 school year?

Sadly, I haven’t finished the whole series yet, I’m going onto The Last Present, but as soon as I got onto your website and saw that you wrote the last book already, IT WAS A BIG SAD FACE because as soon as I read 11 Birthdays, I fell in love with the series, the characters, and YOU and your writing! I don’t have anything against you, and you are like my FAVORITE PERSON EVER and I want to become an author when I grow up also, but I’m just saying if you might change your mind and write another book. 105. Grace on September 27, 2015 at 3:12 pm

    Hi Wendy Mass
I am sorry this comment is so late.Just wanted to tell you Willow Falls is my favorite series {Along with Harry Potter & The Penderwicks} I grew up along with the books and I enjoy them still. i am now 13 years old. i have a 5 year old sister named Amanda {I picked her name} and every night I read her a chapter from one of the Willow Falls books. We are on the Last Present and I just waned to say that you helped my family so much. My dad died a few years ago from cancer and my mom works eight from 7 am to 9 pm so I am in charge of all the work. My brother Zander stopped talking after dad died and we were afraid he would always be silent. Then I read A Mango Shaped Space to Amanda. Zander tried to hide it, but I saw he was intrested in it. So it wasn’t a suprise when he joined us for bedtime stories every night. that helped a little but he didn’t speak till we started Every Soul a Star. One night we were sitting on the couch and I was reading. Amanda was half asleep and Zanderleaned on me and said “Thank You Wendy Mass for giving me back my color” It turns out every time I read one of your books to him It reminded him of Dad. This made his world happy and colorful. So thank you

    • Wendy Mass on August 17, 2016 at 6:51 pm

You sound like the best kind of big sister! How lucky Amanda is to have you. Thank you for putting my books right up there with Harry Potter! Have a great start to your new school year!

  106. Chloe Johnson on September 30, 2015 at 5:33 pm

    Wendy Mass,
When I read 11 Birthdays I knew I had to keep reading more like it. I read the rest of the series within a week, and couldn’t stop with that. I’ve just finished Every Soul Has a Star, and it really changed me. I love your writing and your ideas, and your uniqueness. I hope you never stop writing. Thank you for the love of magic, mystery, and adventure you’ve given me.
P.S. I wish the Willow Falls books weren’t over, because the characters felt so close to me, like true, good friends, and I always imagined myself in the book, being Tara. I loved them so much, and can’t wait to get Graceful!!!!

  107. Cindy on October 1, 2015 at 4:46 am

    Dear Wendy Mass,
Thank you so much for this wonderful series, it was really reaalllly great! I finally got the chance to read the book, and honestly, it was amazing. Like totes awesomesauce! (As Grace would put it ;)) The ending was just like magic!(And nearly made me cry) Sad that it’s the last Willow Falls book, but it sure gave me lots of magical times. 🙂 Thank you for these “life-changing” books(again)! Super excited about CM2!! :)))

    Sincerely Yours,

    PS: You’re an amazing writer.

  108. :) Mkbitsy :) on October 4, 2015 at 3:59 pm

    Dear Mrs. Mass:

I read “11 Birthdays” when I was in third grade and it immediately became my favorite book. I have probably read “11 Birthdays” about 75 times… (I was pretty paranoid the day I turned eleven…) I was very excited to find out about two years later that there was a second book – and it had already come out. “Finally” really spoke to me and my life, and still continues to. I read either of these two books when I’m having a bad day- or a good day- or any day in between, really. I later did some research on a third book and read it. It excited- well, excites- me how you brought in all of the characters from the past books and continued to do so in the next book- “The Last Present”. I was so happy- but mostly sad when I finished the book, because I knew there wasn’t going to be a next one. (I loved your play on words there, The Last Present, and was also very happy when Leo and Amanda kissed). I was visiting my local library yesterday, was browsing the Wendy Mass section for any books of yours that I haven’t read, (I don’t come upon those very often) when I saw “Graceful” and read the little words at the bottom: “A new Willow Falls book from the best-selling author Wendy Mass” and nearly screamed (I would have, but, ya know, I was at a library…) . I went home and finished it about two hours ago, in which time I proceeded to write this very long fan girl blog post. Thank you so much for creating characters that have become lots of peoples friends – including mine, – people that we sympathize with and characters that we can really connect with. You are truly an amazing author.

  109. Abby on October 5, 2015 at 10:57 am

    Hi Wendy,

Sorry, this is totally in letter form because, it was originally supposed to be a letter to you, but then I saw you said it’s better to post on your blog instead, so here it goes. My name is Abby, and I live in a very small town where if you want to get somewhere, you either bike, beg your parents to take you, or set out on your own two feet and walk. Ironically though, I love it where I live. I play soccer, I ski, and run. Not very exciting, but what I’m really here for is to talk about your books. I love your books! Personally my favorite is A mango shaped space. I do have a few questions for you. How did you find out about Synesthesia? It seemed like in the book, no one really knew about it or what it was. My other question is how long did it take you to write A mango shaped space? You probably had to do a lot of research about it. Anyway, if you are reading this, thank you so much! I greatly appreciate it.

    Sincerely,
    Abby

    • Wendy Mass on May 1, 2016 at 12:47 am

Thank you! I did have to do a lot of research but I like that part of being a writer as I learn new things. Your small town sounds like a wonderful place to call home!

  110. Amanda Fitzpatrick (Not really but she's my favourite character) on October 9, 2015 at 6:06 pm

Correction to everyone who said they were your biggest fans. I’ve read all your books TWICE and I love them all. My favourite (don’t comment about the u in favourite, I’m Canadian) is Leap Day #LoveForTheLeaper and I love the Willow Falls series. So well written, I like it even more than I like Rick Riordan’s books and those were my favourite books for two years until I saw a copy of Finally (I accidentally started with the 2nd book and read the 1st book a year after reading the 2nd, it still made a lot of sense I still love it) on the library Juvenile Fiction shelf and I signed it out without knowing you would soon become my longtime favourite author. All your books are TOTES AWESOMESAUCE and I’m so sad it’s the end of a beautiful series.
Tell Leo, Rory, Amanda, Grace, Tara, David, Connor and Bailey how much I’ll miss them.
I can’t wait to read more of your awesome books and I want you to know that you’ve inspired me to start writing a novel myself, which has been an unaccomplished dream since I was in the 1st grade. Please have Tara reply with some writing tips as I’m on the 167th page of my book and I’m at loss of ideas.

Anyway, keep calm and write on and have a TOTES AWESOMESAUCE life,
    A

Now this is an awesomesauce letter from a neighbor to the north ;o).So cool that you’re writing your own book, you’ve gotten really far! For advice if you’re stuck, I’d suggest writing what you think the end might be first, and that can help you work your way there. Summer is a good time to do just that. Have fun! xo Wendy

Hello. Where do I start? From scratch.

Sorry, that probably sounded really weird.
I’m not weird, I promise. Okay. On my birthday
A few years back, I got a mango shaped space for my present. I read it in one day, and it Changed my life. I got inspired. And now, I wright all the time. I do a lot of school stuff, but I’m working on a story about twins call Taylor and angie. It’s really bad, but I’m trying. Anyway. I read a mango shaped space, and was Immediately hungry for more. I went online and found candymakers, which I read, loved, and am currently rereading. Then, I found 11 birthdays, and we All know what happened next. Onto finally, then 13 gifts, and the Last present. I thought that it was the last one, and was, for a while, really bummed. I read pi in the sky, and that Helped a lot. But I was still sad. A few weeks later, I went to Barnes and noble’s to pick up the new rob buyea.
And i Saw it. Just sitting there. Graceful. I let out a squeal that sent heads turning in all directions, but I dident care. I bought it with my allowance and cried When I finished it. The last bit, where you see their futures, was so moving. Your books changed my life, and i Can’t wait until the sequel to the candymakers is out. By! Ps I would be honerd to receive a reply on this, but your probably super busy. Bye!

  121. Haley, aka a HUGE Wendy Mass fan on November 11, 2015 at 1:30 am

I read Graceful when it came out, and I LOVE it!! It’s very well written, Amanda’s diary entries, the texts, Connor’s Inventor’s Journal entries, and Leo’s poems were extremely entertaining. The section of Amanda, Rory, and Tara at the Vortex were very satisfying, especially Amanda’s. I always knew Amanda and Leo were meant for each other!! Your series has inspired me to write a book of my own. I’ve only been doing it for a couple weeks so far, but I do enjoy the writing process. I hope my writing will be as good as yours someday.

    • Wendy Mass on April 18, 2016 at 10:42 pm

Hi, I am a student from Fort Lee School 3. Last year, you came to visit our school to talk about your new books and tips for writing and reading. That day, I got an autographed copy of “Every Soul a Star,” which I have been treasuring. Therefore, your coming to our school really made me feel special because you have been my favorite author since I first read your book.

As I have mentioned before, of all the books you have written, my favorite one is “Every Soul a Star.” The character that I enjoyed the most is Bree because it was interesting being in the point of view of a sassy, city girl. I also love the Willow Falls series. I am actually in the middle of reading “Graceful.” I like the part where the picture of Rory and Jake gets on “Teen Scene Today.” I can go on and on about your wonderful books, but I am going to finish here for now.

Thank you so much for creating brilliant books! And please continue writing!

    • Wendy Mass on April 18, 2016 at 10:45 pm

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful letter and I love your insights on Bree. I promise I will keep writing. In fact my next book, The Candymakers and the Chocolate Chase will be out Aug 2cd. I hope you enjoy that too!

I’m working on compiling a selection of interviews with authors about writing for teens, and I was wondering if you’d be willing to give a brief interview. It’s perfectly understandable if you don’t.

Once I start reading, I can’t put it down. Even if I have read the series many times, once in a while I feel like I need to read. It would be really cool for you to create some kind of a series in another town the vortex moved to and with different people and their experiences. Or also a book which is as interesting as the Willow Falls series that includes similar time traveling details. I’ll be waiting for that book! What would be really cool is making a movie on these stories. It would be AMAZING to see our friends as real people, especially Angelina. I hope you write more books just as great or even better than the Willow Falls series. Thank you so much!!!!

    • Wendy Mass on April 18, 2016 at 10:23 pm

Yes, I plan to write many more books! The Candymakers and the Chocolate Chase will be out Aug 2cd. I like your vortex idea. Thank you

Please make one more book in the Willow Falls series I am begging you

  126. Mkbitsy on December 9, 2015 at 9:38 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass:

    • Wendy Mass on April 7, 2016 at 6:26 pm

And you are an amazing reader! Thank you for your thoughtful note and making me laugh when wrote you were nervous on turning 11. My next book is the sequel to The Candymakers and will be out Aug 2cd. Hope you enjoy it too!

Hi Mrs Mass. I wanted to send you a very heartfelt thank you from my daughter, Winter. You recently signed three booKS for her. They arrived today for her birthday (just in time. I leave for 4 months tomorrow). It brought her to tears she was so happy. I have never seen a child (just turned 12) so ecstatic over anything. This is by far the most emotional I have ever seen her get. I sent you a PM on your Facebook of her opening them. I just wanted to say thank you, and show you how much you mean to her as an author and how your books impact lives. Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Hi! My name is Amelia Grace and I have a blog (ameliagrace11.blogspot.com). You are my favorite author and I have read all of your books at least twice (most of them way more!). My birthday was this week and I was hoping to do something special on my blog, like an interview with an author. Since you are my favorite author it would be amazing if it was you! I would also like to do a giveaway if you would send me one of your books to review and giveaway! I have commented on here many times, but you have not responded. Please write back! 🙂

  133. Kalena on January 9, 2016 at 10:37 am

    Dear Wendy Mass,

I just love all of your books! When I got Graceful on my birthday I just could not put it down! I ended up reading it until midnight! I had to wake up early though, but it was so worth it! I also have a few questions about the book…

Why do all the most of the main characters have their birthdays in the summer?

Thank you Wendy Mass for all the books you’ve written! I’ve ready about all of your books! Thank you also for answering my questions!

    Thanks,

    Kalena

    • Wendy Mass on December 11, 2022 at 12:28 pm

hi! I had to take out some spoilers, but that’s a great question about the summer birthdays, I hadn’t realized that! Well, there are no coincidences in Willow Falls, right? ;o). Sorry Graceful kept you up so late and sorry for how long it took me see this! Sending hugs your way!! -Wendy

  134. Victoria Nicole on January 11, 2016 at 10:41 pm

    Hi Wendy!
I cannot express how much your books have effected me. I picked 11 Birthdays out in my 6th grade English class library and was so proud I finished it in a week 🙂 Since then, I can tear through 600 pages in a day (which means pulling late nighters and secluding myself to the library at lunch). I owe my entire reading career to you and this series. 11 Birthdays, Finally, 13 Gifts, The Last Preset, and Graceful are some of the rarest, most precious books I’ve ever encountered. The characters are beautiful yet flawed in a way that is realistic and engaging to the reader. I feel like I owe you so much. These books are gorgeous and meaningful and one that make my soul sing. I’ve re read each book a number of times and find so much joy each time. After the somewhat 4th time reading the books, I was inspired to write my own young readers novel. The idea of my book may have fizzled out, but your series still has a seed planted in my heart to which I hope will grow into a book one day. Thank you tons and, you know, just in case you want to add another book or even a novella to the series, you won’t see me object 😉
    Blessings,
    Victoria Nicole

    • Wendy Mass on March 26, 2016 at 8:53 am

Thank you and I love your idea of a novella! I will have to think on that one… I appreciate your insight on how the characters are beautiful yet flawed. If we remember we all are it helps make our days more understandable. Keep reading!

I’ve been reading your books for the last 3 years and none of your books have failed me.
Sad that I cant meet you in person 🙁 but your books always leave meaning at the end of the book.

        hi wendy
What inspired you to write Candy makers 1&2?

        • Wendy Mass on April 5, 2016 at 7:32 pm

I have a genuine love of candy! The sequel came about as I grew to miss the characters as much as the readers did and felt that further adventures were ahead for them.

  136. Natalie on January 20, 2016 at 10:45 am

I know this isn’t really related to this post, but I wanted to tell you:
Hi, my name is Natalie and I am a sixth grader at Baker School, in Brookline, Massachusetts. I really really love your books. The Candymakers is definitely my favorite. You have no idea how excited I am for the sequel!! Daisy was probably my favorite character,
I’ve also read A Mango Shaped Space, which I love, The Willow Falls series, which is sooo good, Heaven Looks a Lot Like the Mall (My second favorite), and The Twice Upon a Time series, which is awesome because I love different takes on fairy tales. My favorite one was probably the Rapunzel one. I loved how descriptive it was and how it was fun, yet suspenseful and a little nerve-racking at times. I thought it was really creative, and so were the other ones. I also really enjoyed reading the Beauty and the Beast one.
You’re one of my favorite authors, and I love everything you write and how you write it. All your books are so detailed and entertaining, and I can imagine everything that’s going on perfectly because you describe everything so well. The books always pull me in with suspense, or just because it’s so fun to read and find out what’s going to happen.
I have only one question for you, though: What is your writing process? How do you come up with ideas and put them into books to make them so amazing? (Ok, so that’s two, but still) Anyways, I really hope you see this, and I hope that one day I might get to meet you! *Crosses fingers*
    From,
    Natalie

    • Wendy Mass on December 11, 2022 at 11:48 am

I hope we’ve gotten to meet by now! I’m so glad you liked the fairy tale series, I had so much fun with those. For the writing process, I like to outline the story first, planning out as much as possible of the plot ahead of time in a notebook. Doing it that way makes the ideas come faster than staring at the blank screen. I try to write the book I wish I had when I was younger. I also don’t like deleting much! Hope you’ve been great since you wrote, and all my very best wishes to you! -Wendy

  137. Bella on January 20, 2016 at 10:53 am

    Dear Wendy Mass,

My name is Bella, and in my 6th grade ELA class we are writing letters to amazing authors like you. I really enjoy reading your books. I’ve read almost all your books and I’m halfway done with your new book Graceful, it’s really good so far. I like the idea of team Grace and I especially like the idea of a magical vortex. Currently I’m at the part where they find the glowing treasure chest, I really like how you played that scene out. I love how you do chapters with each character, I like reading about Connor’s inventions, and Grace’s adventures.
I find your books very funny, creative, detailed, and some serious in an way. I especially love your book A Mango Shaped Space. It has a lot of great detail and Are you writing any new books? How do you come up with all your book ideas? When did you first realize you wanted to write books? Did you only work in libraries and bookstores when you were younger? I have so many questions, but I don’t want to bother you with too many.
I hope you continue to write amazing books, like all the ones I’ve read. meaning and I just wanted to keep reading and reading. I really love how you came up with the idea of by saying a word she feel’s a color for each. Even though I hated when the cat passed it was a great scene and it showed a lot of emotion.
I also enjoyed reading 11 Birthdays and The Candy Makers. The Candy Makers is also one of my favorites. Again, love how you show the different contestants thoughts by doing each chapter about one kid. I really thought that the entire idea of the book was just well put together and really creative. I also really enjoyed 11 Birthdays, I like how she has to repeat her birthday eleven times, it was pretty funny but also emotional and it had a lot of creative dialogue. This book had a lot of great emotional power, there were sad parts, happy parts, and funny parts. I like how each morning she hopes to wake up to a new day but she really just repeats her day. I find her birthday party a really an intense scene.

    From,
    Bella

    • Wendy Mass on March 26, 2016 at 8:45 am

Thank you for all of the time and thought you put into this letter! I try to have many answers to questions on my site. Readers can have fun searching for the answers. I’m happy to say the sequel to Candymakers will be out Aug 2cd! I hope you enjoy it as much as the first. Keep reading!

Hi Wendy!! I’m not a big reader but when I found the Willow Falls series I could never put my book down! I fell in love with Amanda, Leo, Tara, Rory, Grace, Angelina and all of the other characters!! I can’t tell you how big of a fan I am!!! I love your Willow Falls books sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! I’m just a kid but I would love for you to make a movie of the Willow Falls series!! I love acting too. I am also in a play in my school, Annie, and I’m one of main orphans, Pepper. So (it probably wont happen) but I would love to act as one of the characters if you ever make a movie. Maybe I could play Rory or Tara because I have brown hair. Also, I’m their age. I really hope you write another book in this series! I loved every single detail in your books! Please email me if you have a chance, I would really love to ask you more questions! Thanks for taking your time to read this!

Thank you! I admire that you love to act. Writing can feel similar as I can watch what the characters can do in my mind as I write. I would love if all of my books could become movies. Keep reading!

Hi! i just want to say that I think that you are an amazing author, and i especially loved the Team Grace books. When I first read the books( and the second time, and the third time, etc.), I was in shock for a couple of reasons. a) They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!!!!!!, B) They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO suprising, C) (please see b), D), (please see a.)When I read the books, I was either smiling, laughing, crying, or in shock. Your books are so good that I recommended them to my friends and they have become their favorite books, too. I even recommended them to my Grandma, and she’s telling me to say hi from her right now. She loves them too. Your books are some of the best things that have ever happened to me, and made me feel some emotions I never even knew I had. I just want to say thank you a bajilion times for that. 😉 🙂 :o) 8) :3)(guy with a weird nose emoji

  141. M on February 6, 2016 at 5:00 pm

I’m a soon-to-be senior in high school, and I just finished The Last Present and Graceful! I absolutely loved them! I first read 11 birthdays in fifth or sixth grade, from my school library. I bought Finally at one of my middle school book fairs and then Thirteen Gifts at the bookstore around the time it came out. I spent the next few years re-reading those two every now and then, but I recently was like, “Hey, I should see if there are any new ones out!” and I’m so glad there were. The whole Willow Falls series was such a great part of my tween-hood (like childhood? lol) and it was so wonderful to get to experience the magic of your books again, even though I’m a few years older than the characters, now. You’ve been my favorite author for a long time and I don’t think that will ever change, no matter how old I get. Thank you for giving me some great memories and for finishing off the series so well! 🙂

(I also read Every Soul a Star in like, sixth grade and loved it, so I’m planning on checking out the rest of your books as well. I’ll probably start with Leap Day, I think.)

  142. Lily A. on February 8, 2016 at 6:41 pm

    Dear Wendy,
I love reading your books there amazing i just wanted to ask where you get your ideas from because the way you write your books is mind blowing i started reading your books one day when i was at the library and i did not know what to read so i saw one of of my friends and i asked for a suggestion they suggested for me to read 11 birthdays so tried and i loved it i could not put my book down so i started reading a lot more when i got to the last present i was a little sad because i thought it was the last book in the series and then i found out there was another book graceful i loved reading from all the characters point of views and the little glimpse of the future it was a perfect ending but that was what i hated that the book had to end i really wish you could make more because it was amazing i started reading a lot more of your books like every soul a star, and heaven looks a lot like the mall. what i thought would be amazing if you could make a movie out of the five books in the series it would be perfect and i would love to see it happen. i also wish i could meet is there a way you could come for a book signing in cumming, Georgia or Atlanta, Georgia.
    yours truly,

  146. Neomi on March 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm

You haven’t impacted my life that much, but I’m sure you have influenced countless others to change the world. Because of you, people are becoming educated by reading your books. For example, in “A Mango Shaped Space”, you talk about a girl with synesthesia, something that not many people know about.
I hope to meet you someday, to find out how you write such amazing stories. You are an extraordinary author.
    Keep writing,
    Neomi

Hello:) My name is Kennedy Spegar. I just finished reading the Willow Falls series. I loved them so much. I felt like I was in those books when I read them. I know you said that Graceful was the last book of the series, but I feel like there should be another one. I have never got sad about a book ending but from reading Eleven Birthdays all the way the Graceful, I was so sad when it they ended! I loved every characters and their stories. I read all of the series in less than one month because of how much I loved them. I loved every part of all the books. Mostly the love stories:) I would really love if you made more. I know the last one ended with them all in the future, but it would make me so happy if you made another one. Thank you for reading this if you do Wendy Mass!!

I love your books. You are my favorite author and the detail in them. I love the way you describe the characters, their personalities, and their emotions. I’m doing this for a school assignment and I’m super glad that I could contact you. Even though writing isn’t my favorite subject you have inspired me to grow in writing. Please write back to me. Thank you!!!

Thank you for writing and what a creative assignment from your teacher. It makes my day to hear I am your favorite author.

  151. Helena on March 22, 2016 at 2:40 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,
Once I was up at 11:30 p.m. reading one of your books. I couldn’t stop reading because it was too exciting and I had to know what happened. You have an amazing talent to bring a person to tears, make them jump with excitement, or make them stay up all night with your page-turn books.
You are great at surprising the reader with something they never expected. In your book The Candy-makers it shocked me that Daisy was a spy. I would of never guessed it. Also in Every Soul A Star I never thought that Bree would have a astronomy loving side of her.
I have been inspired to become a better writer because of you. Thank you for writing so many good books. Also what inspired you to make Daisy a spy?
    Your Friend in Books,
    Helena

I’m 11 until July 25, and I know, you’ve probably never heard someone named Avalon before, but I’m really sad that you’ve ended the series to 11 birthdays. I just finished it a couple of literally seconds ago. I love your writing, and your books. I will never stop imagining things that could happen. You never know though, there could be a real vortex! Again, I love your books, and I will be one of the first ones to read it at Purdy Middle School. I love your wrighting.

    • Wendy Mass on April 12, 2016 at 3:25 pm

What a beautiful name you have! I just might have to one day name a character after you. Enjoy your next few months of being 11 and a very early Happy Birthday!

  153. Alyssa on March 27, 2016 at 8:30 pm

HI! I am 10 years old and I LOVE all of your books. (even though i haven’t read all of them yet.) I have read Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, The Candymakers, Finally, and I just started Every Soul a Star. U are the BEST author in the world and will ALWAYS be my favorite author. Sorry I haven’t read that many books yet. I am going to read all of your other books and I CAN’T WAIT TO READ THEM. I seriously have no idea which one is my favorite, but if I seriously HAD to chose one, I would probably choose Finally. IT IS AN AWESOME BOOK! I like how Rory is always trying to help people even if she has never even seen them in her whole life. IT IS SO COOL HOW PEOPLE CAN ACTUALLY TALK TO YOU. I feel like I am talking to Taylor Swift or Meghan Trainor. (They are my two favorite singers.) I CAN’T BELIEVE I AM REALLY TALKING TO WENDY MASS. THAT IS SO AWESOME!
U can write back if u have time. If you don’t it’s okay. PLEASE keep writing more books. I love them SO much. You totally deserve a bunch of rewards for all of your books. I will write back again ( if I remember, I have a pretty bad memory, but i will try to remember.) I think I have typed a little too much already, so I won’t waste any more of your time.

    From, your #1 fan, Alyssa
P.S. I think you are really pretty:)

    • Wendy Mass on April 12, 2016 at 3:22 pm

To compare me with Taylor Swift is a huge compliment! I love the books you have read so far and it is always fun to know there are more waiting to be read. Enjoy your last two months of school before summer!

  154. Julianna penna on March 28, 2016 at 9:14 am

    Dear Ms. Wendy Mass,
You are an inspiration to me. I have always loved everything in school, especially writing. Your books always just pull me in and make me want to keep reading! My favorite book of all time: A Mango Shaped Space had the most dear and amazing story. When I heard that Mia had synesthesia, I was blown away, and of course so was Mia. I just love your stories (including the Birthday series, The Candymakers and of course A Mango Shaped Space) they are just such well written books. I haven’t read Graceful yet, but am looking forward and can’t wait to read it. Again, you are an inspiration to me, and my favorite author of all time. Keep on writing these amazing books, they truly are stunning, marvelous and incredible books!

    Your biggest fan,

Julianna Penna, age: 10, 4th grade at Whitby School, in Greenwich, CT.

    • Wendy Mass on April 12, 2016 at 3:19 pm

This was such a thoughtful note. Thank you! I hope you like Graceful. I think that is the best feeling when you know a good book awaits you.

  155. Claire on March 29, 2016 at 11:55 pm

    Wendy-
I’ve read Graceful multiple times now, and my little sister just read it. They are all so good! I’ve read almost every book, although I still need to get my hands on a copy of CM2.
Your books are realistic enough yu can relate to them, but with the perfect amount of magic thrown in. I wish you could come to my school, but I live all the way in California! I’d much prefer hearing from you than someone I’ve never heard of!

    • Wendy Mass on April 5, 2016 at 7:46 pm

Aren’t sisters just the best to share books with? Consider yourself a lucky duck! I wish I could come to California. Maybe one day…
CM2 will be out Aug 2cd. I hope you and your sister enjoy it.

  156. Angela on April 1, 2016 at 10:24 pm

    • Wendy Mass on April 5, 2016 at 7:39 pm

You just made my Tuesday with your thoughtful note. Thank you!Candymakers 2 comes out Aug 2cd. I hope you like that just as much!

  157. Nicol on April 6, 2016 at 5:50 pm

Hi Wendy! I love your books so much, and wish the Willow Falls series didn’t have to end, but will you write like a short story about them since it’s over?

    • Wendy Mass on April 12, 2016 at 3:17 pm

You know what…that is not a bad idea. I will have to think about that one. Thank you!

Hi! I actually just read all of the Willow Falls books. I LOVED THEM! I loved how you connected them. I actually have a suggestion I really wish you would consider. I know you are probably busy, but I think you should create another book, but in the future, so David and Tara are together. I think Jake and Rory should be together. Also, I think Amanda and Leo should be together. I didn’t forget about the others, that’s just some though! Good Series! I also liked your Candymakers. GREAT JOB WENDY MASS!

    • Wendy Mass on April 18, 2016 at 10:20 pm

Great job with your suggestions! Thank you! The Candymakers and the Chocolate Chase will be in stores Aug 2cd. I hope you enjoy this one too!

  159. Willow falls fan on April 16, 2016 at 10:51 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,

I have recently read the Willow Falls series and I enjoyed it very much. I was very upset when I finished the last book Graceful, I couldn’t say goodbye to the characters yet. Throughout the few weeks that I have been reading this series i really got to know these characters and I don’t want to finish reading about them, I wish you could make a new book maybe about what happens in those 30 years before Graceful ended. Rory’s my favorite character and I feel like i need to learn more about her (I hope my birthday doesn’t end up like hers, not putting a bunny on my birthday list,). Thank you so much for writing the Willow falls series, when I first started reading 11 birthdays I was like non stop reading. I think I’m going to start reading the twice upon a time series it sounds really good. Thanks again!!!!

    • Wendy Mass on April 18, 2016 at 10:09 pm

I am honored you would read the series twice. Thank you and I wouldn’t be surprised if you observe new things the second time.

  160. Sarah on April 22, 2016 at 5:12 pm

The Willow Falls series was the best series I have ever read. My favorite characters were Amanda and Leo. I loved their adventures and just their friendship overall. The books all tied together somehow and that’s what I loved about the series. I wish there were more books!! Haha. I couldn’t stop reading them. Thank you so much for writing these. They are truly the best books I have ever read.

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 5:15 pm

And thank you for reading my books and writing such a lovely note! ????????

  161. Alex on April 23, 2016 at 3:11 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,
I am a big fan! I have a few friends who also love your books. I am currently in 5th grade and have been reading your books since 3rd grade. I haven’t read Graceful, yet, but as soon as I find it, I will. I have read almost all of your books and have all of the Willow Falls books twice. My friend and I are starting a book club and we are including some of your books (13 Gifts, Every Soul a Star, The Candymakers) along with our other choices (Hamlet, Moby Dick, War & Peace, Lord of the Flies, Much Ado About Nothing, etc.) I can’t until the Candymakers and The Chocolate Chase comes out. The description in The Candymakers was phenomenal. It seemed like I was actually in the factory. Anyways, keep up the amazing work!
    – Alex

    • Wendy Mass on April 30, 2016 at 12:13 pm

Wow!! I am so honored to have my books be in your book club along with Moby Dick, War & Peace and Lord of the Flies! Thank you!

Hi Wendy, i am in love with you willow falls series. i was thinking if you could possibly create a new series coming off that series? like for instance creating another series about their children? i just don’t feel that the series should be allowed to end yet you know? its just too good! i have read almost all of your teen reads and i think they are amazing and you are truely gifted. i really hope you write more books because they inspire me so much!

    • Wendy Mass on April 30, 2016 at 12:04 pm

Thank you! I loved the Willow Falls series too, but I am having fun writing new and different stories. I hope you enjoy meeting the new characters in them as well.

Hi Wendy Mass! Your books have inspired me so much! My friend told me about 11 Birthdays last year and after that I couldn’t stop reading the whole series! I have even read the Twice Upon a Time Series. Last year, I got the book Graceful and I finished it in one day! I couldn’t stop reading! The ending of the Willow Falls series was one I could have never guessed.

  169. Lindsi on May 8, 2016 at 8:10 pm

Hi! I am curently reading “A Mango Shaped Space,” and I think that it is a really good book! I have also read “11 Birthdays, Finally, and Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life” (that one was my favorite book of yours) I am currently doing a book report on you. If you don’t mind I have some questions for you:
1- How do you come up with the ideas for all of your amazing books?
2-Are you currently working on any other new books?

    • Wendy Mass on May 29, 2016 at 10:58 pm

The ideas for writers often pop in our minds when we learn of something we had not known.
I am very excited about the new Candymakers out this August.

Oh my goodness! I love LOVE LOVED ALL of the Willow Falls books! I can’t believe Graceful is the last one!! : ( I don’t know anything about making movies, but I wish you (or someone else) could make a movie for all of these books. I also agree with another person’s comment, that it WOULD be awesome if you made another book but Leo’s point of view this time (but I know you said this was the last one, DANG IT). I hope you read this comment. By the way, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! 😀

I really really love the Willow Falls books! It’s too bad that Graceful is the last one. I read the first three a little out of order, starting with 13 Gifts, then Finally, then 11 Birthdays. I picked up again with The Last Present and finally Graceful. Then I read them all again, in order. I really wish you would write a couple more books, only with the boys’ viewpoints. And I am also excited for Candymakers 2! I love that book! But my favorites of your books are the Willow Falls series.

    • Wendy Mass on August 10, 2016 at 5:23 pm

Thank you and I hope you add the new Candymakers to your favorites! ????????

    Dear Wendy Mass,

I so LOVE your books they are so entertaining! My cousin recently recommended 11 Birthdays to me and I am SO SUPER DUPER GLAD that she did!!! I am so sad though! Why did the Willow Falls series have to end? I got Graceful for my B-day and I couldn’t put it down! I ended up reading it until about midnight, I also had school so I was very groggy. But it was so worth it!! I recommended all of your books to all my friends and they loved all of them! Personally I think the Willow Falls series was still my favorite after reading all of your books. You are on the tippy top of my favorite authors list and I look forward to reading more of your Marvemouse books!

I was also about to cry when I realized that I only rented Graceful from the library instead of buying it like all the rest!!! I will definitely be buying it for my birthday (which is coming soon! I’m turning THIRTEEN!!!)!!!!!
Thank you so much for all of the books you have written, all the ones I have read I loved! I hope you know how much we all enjoy them!!!!!!

    Dear Mrs. Mass,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you SO MUCH for all of the wonderful things you do!!!! =D I have read every book in the Willow Falls series at least 5x! I recently finished The Last Present in a day and cried for the 5th time when I realized it was over! Then I realized that the past couple times that I have read Graceful I only rented it from my library (Instead of getting it from Barnes and Noble like I did with all the rest)! =( Graceful is now on my birthday wish list (my birthday is coming soon; I’m turning THIRTEEN!!!!!!! I feel so old!)
I am also currently reading A Mango-Shaped Space and am in love with it so far! But I have to admit, none of your books are as good as the Willow Falls series!!!
I should probably stop writing and get back to reading! Thank you so much for dedicating such time and effort into making us all so HAPPY!!!!
Best wishes and a happy summer,
Another really big fan of yours! =D=D=D

The Willow Falls series is my favorite book series ever! I own all the books in the Willow Falls series and I liked Graceful the best. I got Graceful at my school’s book fair last year! By the way, you are an AWESOME writer! 😛 By the way, do you have the app Episode? I’m making a story on it right now. It’s called Jenny’s Ninth Grade Year but it isn’t published yet… 🙂 YOUR BOOKS ARE AWESOME!

    • Wendy Mass on December 11, 2022 at 11:02 am

Hi, glad you liked them!! I haven’t heard of that APP but will for sure check it out, what a fun idea! Hope you’re still writing! xo, Wendy

  176. Aunna Gazor on September 23, 2016 at 2:43 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,
I’d just like to start off by saying, I LOVE your books! I’ve read your Willow Falls series through at least six times! They just have this aura that naturally grabs people and pulls them into the mystical small town full of magic. I, personally can never get enough of it. I especially love how each book is in a different character’s point of view and they all end up tying together into one big, “family of stories”. I would like to ask though, if you were a character from any of your Willow Falls books, which character would you be and why? I feel if I were to be one character, I’d be Rory because, “I blend into the background”, like Rory, “when i arrive for lunch my friends are surprised I’m not already there”. My favorite book from your series is The Last Present because of all the drama and time traveling but Graceful is definitely my second favorite because of the amazing ending. The plot twist and conclusion practically made me cry! But, if you had to create an alternate ending to the series, what would it be and why? And, who is your favorite character in the story? Why?
I hope you read this considering how busy you are, but you’re my favorite author and I’m looking forward to more of your amazing books (hopefully Willow Falls books).
    Sincerely, Aunna

    • Wendy Mass on December 11, 2022 at 11:43 am

You are SO SWEET and also really insightful!!! I love the thought you put into the books and pulled out of them as well. And as you know with Rory, she wound up no longer blending into the background and I bet you don’t either. I’m probably most like Tara, I guess…not sure I can put my finger on why though. I should read them again! Catch me up if you see this, ok? Sending hugs! Wendy

  177. Sophia on October 14, 2016 at 12:37 am

    Hi Wendy!!
I love the Willow Falls book’s series so much. I remember when I was younger everyone was saying how good your books were, I never believed them so I just ignored them for a long time until last week I decided to to it and the book was amazing!! So I read all the other books super fast because they were so good. I thought the last gift was the last book in the series until I found out about Graceful. The book was over all amazing! The only things is I would have liked to see something like Leo and Amanda going on a real date or how they made up or something. You are my favorite author now and I am starting to read the candy makers now and so far it is really good so…..

    Hugs and vortices
    Sophia

PS. I know this probability won’t happen but can you write another book in the series or start a new series with Leo and Amanda’s grandkids or so.watching

    PPS. Pleaseeeee

    • Wendy Mass on December 11, 2022 at 11:01 am

Lol at your PPS. :). and that’s a good idea with the grandkids!!! that would be a futuristic story though, unless I wait a long time to write it and then it’s in the present. Ok, not sure I’ll get to be that old lol. All my best to you, and glad you gave the books a try. :O) Wendy

  178. Kalena on November 3, 2016 at 7:50 pm

    Dear Wendy Mass,

I’m writing yet another letter because I just can’t get over all of your amazing books! I finished reading CM2 and it was AWESOME! All of your books are so creative and mouthwatering. You also gave me the inside scoop of what a candy maker has to go through to create candy. It was also very exciting to see what happened during their journey and who they met! I still have to express my feelings towards Willow Falls though, WHY DID IT HAVE TO END?? Please make more books like Willow Falls! I also was totally in love with Pi in the Sky, I’ve never been interested in science fiction, but now I am. I also loved A Mango-Shaped Space!! You inspire me so so much! I hope I can become as wonderful and talented like you! And please, make more of you fantastic books!!!

    -Kalena

I loved the Willow Falls series and I’m looking forward to reading Graceful!! I loved reading from different perspectives and hearing different characters opinions! It was great. I read almost a whole book a day, that’s how much I loved them! i immediately fell in love with Willow Falls, Rory, Amanda, Leo, Tara, Connor, David, Grace, Emily, and even Angelina! I hope you consider writing another edition to the series. We would all enjoy it!! 🙂 I also have a question; Why are there so many books that don’t show any faces? Was that on purpose???

    Sincerely,
Daisy, or your biggest fan 😉

    • Wendy Mass on December 10, 2022 at 10:48 am

Hi (same name as character in Candymakers!), wow on a book a day! Someday I may do another Willow falls, hopefully you’ll still be young enough to want to read it. The hidden faces started out with 11 Birthdays and then it seemed like a good idea to make the series recognizable. It’s grown on me over the years. 🙂
      Hugs!

I’m absolutely dying to find out what happens next! Thank you for all of your amazing books!

I’m 11 and I just finished the last book in the series this morning and I loved it! To be honest I am a bit emotional that it is over. And I cried. I absolutely LOVE the series and would LOVE to have another book, but I know that this was already an extra one. I started the series last summer and honestly have fallen in love with it. I’m pretty sad, because I fell like I know these charters personally and it feels like I have lost them, but I know I will always remember these books and charters. My favorite girl is ethier Rory or Amanda and my favorite boy is david, but I LOVE them all! I also wanted to tell you that I have really Been reading a ton and LOVE reading wich I thought you would appreciate and I even have a book list and your books have a star to show they are favorited. I just wanted to say thank you SO much for writing these books, because they really changed my life. I hope you come out with more books and I really hope you read this letter I know you finished writing the series in 2015, but I hope you still see this and it would mean so much for me if you could answer this.

Hi, you have the same first name and last initial as the main character in my first book, A Mango Shaped Space, so that must mean something! Thanks so much to you and your friends for reading my books and so glad you enjoyed Willow Falls. Fingers and toes crossed that one day it appears on the big (or little) screen 🙂 Big hugs to you and your friends! Wendy

Hi “Real Mia!” It’s always fun hearing from people with the same name as the characters! Hopefully Mango will become a movie one day–you’ll hear about it here, I promise! I’m glad you enjoyed Willow Falls, too. I forget every once and a while about totes awesomesauce. I should start using that in every day lingo lol. Thanks for reaching out! xo Wendy

    Hello!
Today I just read Graceful and it was so good!! I liked that I was able to see what happened in their futures but I am disappointed to be finished with the series. I really wish you would come out with a sequel since it was left at a suspenseful part.

    Love, your devoted reader, Rebekah

So glad you enjoyed Graceful, I tried to wrap it up without leaving loose ends. I have been playing around with the idea of an offshoot of the series starring the characters’ children. 🙂 Wendy

        Dear Wendy Mass,
I started the willow falls series at the end of the school year and today I just finished Graceful. A few weeks ago I didn’t know graceful was part of your series so when I found out I tried to get it right away
The reason I was surprised that graceful was part of your series was that I thought I used to see it in my house alone a few years ago so I thought my older sister read it but she never did so that was strange
I just wanted to say that how rory didn’t end up with Jake surprised me. And then I thought it was a pretty big coincidence that the vision was with Jake so I remembered there are no coincidences in willow falls. So I thought that the person rory married was Jake under grace’s spell and the Jake was just his look alike.
I was also thinking for the next book if there is a next book it could be about Amanda and Leo’s daughter who moved to willow falls for college but when she went there the vortex was starting again and gifted her the powers on her birthday and then she wakes up every day on everyone’s special birthday until she can fix the vortex with the help of Angela D’Angelo
        With love,
One of your readers who love the willow falls series

VERY creative interpretation of the Rory/Jake situation!! You’re definitely a writer at heart! So glad you liked the books! xo, Wendy

Sorry I posted it twice didn’t know if it sent through or not
But I just had another idea about about Connors love interest it would be amazing but I haven’t thought it through all the way
And I saw someone say something about Leo’s point of Veiw and I agree the would be chef’s kiss material
