MOVIE UPDATE and sneak peek at returning series

MOVIE UPDATE: Jeremy Fink is now available ONLINE on Walmart.com! Saves ya a trip to the store! (which is out of them!) This is the only place you can get the movie until its nationwide release in March.

And check out the newest movie trailer!

Ok, I just read the youtube comments, and seriously guys, it doesn’t matter that Lizzy’s hair isn’t red. Two seconds into the movie and you’re like, that’s totally Lizzy! She and Jeremy are the perfect fit.

I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! I’m putting together a special section of my website that will link to the supercool Jeremy Fink movie site (jeremyfink.net). If anyone wants to give feedback on the book (not the film), I’d love to hear from teachers and librarians on how you use the book in your schools, and from moms, dads, and kids of course! If you put your thoughts in the comment section below, I’ll pull it from there. Thanks so much!!

A reminder that if you want a book signed for a Christmas or Chanukah gift (or just because you want one!), you can order it through my wonderful local bookstore and they will holler for me to come in and personalize it for ya. Their number is: (973) 729-6200.

Last but not least, even though they won’t be out for a few more months, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at the returning (and new) books in the TWICE UPON A TIME series. Your favorite fairy tales as you’ve never heard them before! Now with new covers! New books in the series! First up on Feb 1 is Rapunzel, then Sleeping Beauty on April 1, then Beauty and the Beast on June 1st! You can pre-order them now.

The cover is kind of similar to your Birthday series ones, but I love it anyway. 🙂

Hi, Mrs. Mass! If you’re reading this, thank you so much for your time. I love the book Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, and after I saw your post that had pictures of the movie in stores, I went crazy trying to find it. All you have to do is ask my family, and they will tell you how annoying I’ve been (I saw that post a while ago…) Anyway, I know they’ll be thankful for me to have located a place where I can find it and glad there is a release date if I can’t find it at Walmart. I have been a fan of your books for ages, and I wanted to tell you that my school had Jerermy Fink on its Battle of Books list last year. If you’ve never heard of Battle of the Books, it’s sort of like a sport for people who like to read. You get a certain amount of time to read the given list of twenty books amongst your team and then you answer questions on the books. THh first competition is within your school to get a over all team from the school, and then that team advances to state. Last year there were over 180 teams from Wisconsin, meaning a lot of kids would have read the book from that state. Anyway, I admire you very much, and you cannot imagine the inspiration you have given me for the past few years. If you’ve made it through this long comment, I again thank you for your time and wish you well.

    Sincerely,
    Rinne S.

NOTE FROM WENDY: Rinne, you are so sweet!! I’m sorry the movie was so hard to find, i feel your frustration. When it’s widely released in March it will be much easier. I wish I had the Battle of the Books when I was in school, it sounds like a lot of fun! xo

    Wendy,
I love your books! My favorite one is a mango-shaped space. I loved how you really described what Mia was feeling. I was wondering if you took a long time to create these characters? I know it would probably take me a year to create a character like Mia! ~Hugs, Carly

P.S. I love how you did that with Daisy’s letter in the Candy Makers!

P.S.S My sister’s name is Mia!

    • Nina Brener on March 31, 2012 at 12:32 pm

    Dear Ms. Mass,
I have recently read “The Candymakers” for my EBOB team (elementary battle of the books) and I really liked it! I am now (almost) finished with “Every Soul A Star”. I really like to read, I am literately the top reader in my whole school! I really love your books! I was wondering if you could recommend any of your books for me?
    Thanks,
    Macy

Congratulations on being top reader! It sounds like you have the makings of being a writer. A book I am quite attached to is Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. Let me know what you think.

      • Macy Hartley on April 30, 2018 at 11:59 am

        • Wendy Mass on May 3, 2018 at 10:31 pm

Hi! I’d start with Rapunzel, since i wrote that one first. i remember i only had a month to write it. I wrote 18 hours a day! Have fun! xx W.
