Thank you to everyone who gave suggestions for the last Willow Falls book in the previous post. It’s almost done and I’m pretty sure I was able to get everything in. Keep ’em coming for the next few weeks as the book is edited, though, since there’s still a chance to squeeze things in at that point.
And as always, if you’d like autographed books for yourself, your school, as gifts, etc, I’m partnering up with Sparta Books, my wonderful local indie bookstore. If you call them and place an order and tell them how you’d like them signed, I’ll go in and sign them, they’ll mail them out. Voila! Easy peasy!

I loved loved loved loved 13 gifts!!!!! BEST BOOK EVER! I’m not spoiling but I LOVE the part with the purple bottle, that’s a nice twist! So btw Emma they are in 13 gifts. They all help Tara! IT’S AMAZING!! 🙂

Happy holidays to you too! I just finished reading A mango shaped space. It was so well written. I cried so hard when Mango died though. I thought it was so cool how Mia could see all of those colours and shapes. I am asking for lots of your books for Christmas! Thank-you Wendy for inspiring me to shoot for the stars and follow my dreams.

Hey Wendy!!! Your books are amazing and you are my favorite author! I think this will be the best willow falls book! Will it include previous characters such as Leo, amanda, rory, etc.? I hope so!! As the above person said, you should do something I the book about a date like 12-12-12 or a time like 11:11! Just some ideas!! Good luck with editing! 😀

Oh my goodness i’m typing to you!!! I’m such a big fan and happy holidays. Last time I read your site it said ” Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life” was being turned into a movie. I can’t wait but I also haven’t heard anything yet. When is the birthday series in movie form coming.The first book I read of ypurs was “11 Birthdays” and I haven’t been able to stop. I’ve read at least most of your books twice already.

Just wondering, in 11 birthdays Amanda mentions that david is in the grade ahead of them, but in 13 gifts, Tara acts like he is their age?
NOTE FROM WENDY: Hi! I meant to explain that in one of the books–i think it says something like David had been put in the advanced science class which was made up of 6th graders, which would explain why Amanda thought he was a grade ahead…hopefully it’s in there, either in Finally or 13 Gifts. xoxo

Hi Ms. Wendy. Your books are so good! I recently just finished Leap Year and it was so good! I am also very excited for the new Willow Falls book to come out! It’s my favorite series ever! I had a question for you, do you think you can have Tara and “Bee Boys'” relationship be more exposed? I would love that because I think they would be a great couple! I watched the movie of Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. I pay such close attention while I am reading your books, I wrote down things they forgot in the movie that were in the book. I came up to 4 whole pages! I would love you to respond to this letter I wrote.

NOTE FROM WENDY: Wow, Carly! 4 pages! You worked hard!! I’d say the movie really kept the heart of the story intact, while making some changes to make it more cinematic. It’s hard to fit everything in a book into a 90 minute movie. I hope you enjoyed it! I think for other recommendations, you can try Every Soul a Star and A Mango-Shaped Space. You could also read 11 Birthdays, which takes place in 5th grade. All my best to you!

I am an aspiring ballerina who loves to read and write. I have filled up 2 notebooks with short stories and all kinds of inspiration and ideas and you have been one of my greatest sources of inspiration! Your writing is the kind that whisks you away and keeps you turning the pages until the book is done.
It was kind of funny how I first found out about you and your books. I was looking for a book to read in the local library one day, and I saw a mango-shaped space and checked it out. I got in the car to go home and I started reading it. By the time we were home I had read the first 3 chapters and had no intention of stopping! I read the whole book cover to cover and when I was done, I got online and ordered all of your books from the library! I read them all in one month and didn’t even get a library fine because I had read them so fast!! 😉 I’m sorry if I have been a bother writing such a loooong comment. I’ll wrap it up now but I have one last thing to say…..

Hi Wendy Merry christmas and a happy 2013. I got twister dance. What did you get for christmas? So I hope you used my idea and i hope the book will be the best book ever. Well all of your books are my favorite. I’m in fith grade so it is going to be really interested in the last book. I hope that there will be a movie on all books in the Willow Falls series. Hi Wendy Mass. I have a suggestion for the Willow Falls book. It might be too late but I hope you will read this. I think you should explain why everyone could see inside Angelina’s shop, but David could not. I know that everyone else was involved with Angelina in some way, but I still don’t really understand this. Thank you for writing this series! I can’t wait for the next book.

I love your books so MUCH!! I have read your books so many times I have lost count! I got for christmas the “Twice upon a time” series and I have read all of them all ready! My favorite was “Sleeping Beauty” I think I am most like Sara! I would totally got to sleep with my best friends if they were cursed! Are there going to be more in that series? I think you should right more! One of my other favorites is “A mango shaped space” in that book I acctually cried! I was reading it durring class and I literally started crying and everyone was like are you okay. But then I explained and then others wanted to read it to!

I just have a question: have you ever seen an eclipse in person?
After i read Every Soul a Star, you got me seriously interested in eclipses! Seeing an eclipse is now on my Things To Do Before I Graduate High School List!
NOTE FROM WENDY: only a few more years to the eclipse here in America! Not sure if you’ll graduate first, but you just might make your goal! It will be my first, too. Lunar eclipses are a lot more common and really cool to watch, so be on the lookout for them. xo

But, I got a 70 dollar Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas, so I’m going to use it on your books. Also, I love writing too. When I grow up, I want to be a writer. When I was in second grade, I was in the gifted writing program, and one of the stories I wrote almost got published! I can’t wait to be a writer, but I’ll never be as great as you!

I just read a Mango Shaped Space. It was really good, but sad near the end. I was wondering, are you a synesthete? I’m thirteen and have lexical synesthesia, like Mia. You did a really good job of describing what it was like to have synesthesia! I am a big fan of yours!

I was wondering if you could write a book along the lines of Mango Shaped space.Its my new favorite book because unlike your other books the main character is different,and yes mostly all your characters aren’t normal either but Mia was different don’t know how to explain it. Mia saw different things she had a disease that i never heard of.And seeing everything through her eyes was the most exillorating feeling i had when reading this book.As if i was Mia,seeing the world as she does.at all the the books you written and i read this book touched me like no other.I thought you did a awesome job.And i can not stress how much you need to write another book like that.

Hi Wendy! Agh, I’m so frustrated… I am horrible about keeping up with your blog and didn’t see this post until now. Unfortunately your 4th Willow Falls book is probably past the point of editing, but I wanted to throw a few things in… I know you’re going to cover all the relationships between Rory/Jake, Amanda/Leo, and Tara/David (yay!), but I was hoping you may add a few more things. I just finished 13 Gifts then went back and read 11 Birthdays again. I think I MAY have figured out Grace’s rushing to the hospital, but for my theory to be correct, Grace would have had to be related to Amanda or Leonard. 😉 (No spoilers!!) Anyways, in the end of 11 Birthdays, Amanda gives Leo a stack of postcards to “keep in touch” so the repeating day won’t happen again. However, in 13 Gifts they communicate using chalkboards- implying that they only don’t have to TALK to get the day to repeat, but that is different than in 11 Birthdays, where just writing is implied enough to keep the day from repeating. Just very confused on that. But can I say that I am SO FREAKING EXCITED for the next Willow Falls book?!?!?!? Please give me a release date!! I’m dying over here!!

Yeah, I’m just going to assume Angelina told them they have to speak directly for the curse to be broken, hence the chalkboards being ok. You’re definitely on the right track though with your guesses (well, not the related part. ;o). I think you’ll like it when you read it, or at least i hope so! I think i got in all the requests!
Oops! Also, Amanda’s twin friends Emma and Tracy don’t show up in Finally or 13 Gifts, despite her vowing to spend more time with them. I would love to see a cameo with them in the next book 🙂
