As always, if you purchase the book through my local wonderful independent bookstore (Sparta Books: 973-729-6200 spartabooks@embarqmail.com), I’ll sign ’em, they’ll ship ’em. And if you order PI IN THE SKY before the end of the week (June 15th), I’ll toss in an added (yummy) treat.
But supporting your own community bookstore would be great, too. Or, you know, anywhere books are sold. Or borrowed (gotta love the library!!) :o).
On a side note, thank you for being so amazing. I love all the blog comments you’ve been writing, even if it takes me forever to post them. But at least the books are coming out quickly, right? Beauty and the Beast is in paperback now, 13 Gifts will be in paperback on July 30th, and The Last Present will wrap up the Willow Falls series on October 1st.

I am so sorry. I do not like the cover as much as the other ones. The 11 Birthdays cover is my favorite. Don’t know why. Just is. The Last Present cover has like a green background and is sort of like the Finally cover. There is a a girl opening a present box and I think she has red hair. Who could that be? The girl is wearing a pink shirt. I don’t like it as much because it just looks dull to me. It is kind of blurry on the website. I hope it isn’t in real life. Also, the box is glowing? Why? Is it some kind of magic? I could believe that with everything that has happened to them. That is some weird stuff. But I like it. Always so much adventure. Sorry if this is so long. Anyways, got to go. I have to clean up the house. I just LOVE to type! Type, type, type. I will type the night away!

I am kind of like a mix between Melanie, Bree, Jack, and Ally. I just loved your book. Once I sat down to read it, I couldn’t stop. I got Pi in the Sky yesterday! It isn’t in Australian stores yet but my family and I are in New York for a holiday. My first visit to Barnes and Nobles! As an avid reader this is a pretty big event.
I absolutely love your books my favorite book of all time is the candymakers. I loved it so much that I want you to make a sequel. Maybe this book could be about their lives as candy makers.
In the movie I hope you have it showing daisy’s spy gadgets and the mansion.
I also think that Phillips notebook should be in the movie.
The movie should show Logan and his scars as well as Miles’ afterlife.
I am looking forward to reading more of your books as well as seeing the movie The CandyMakers.

I just looked through the “Author Pals” section for the very first time. For a good deal more than half the books mentioned, I said “I read that!” and for Kirsten Miller I shouted “i’m reading that NOW!” Because I put down Kiki Strike not five minutes ago to come here. Then for the very last one, I haven’t read any of those books, but I JUST (Last night) started watching the show that Paul Feig created, Freaks and Geeks! I was surprised at just how many of those authors I knew!

Hi Annika! Glad to hear from you. :o) In my head i’ve been saying it with the “hard A” at the start, like Anne, but also really like On-ikah, like rhymes with Hannukah! What do you prefer? In the first draft I had spelled it Anika, but then people were pronouncing it with the stress on the “i” like it was the name ann-EE-kah, so i added the second “n”. :o)
I pronounce my name Onika. Although when people see my name the usually pronounce it Anne-ika. But the name itself means grace or graceful either way. I know several other Onicka’s but only one Anne-ika.

I just finished watching the movie version of Jeremy Fink (my favorite of your books AND the movie was great) and I was wondering how it feels to see a work of yours being translated to the screen. In other words, how did it feel to see your own work changed, pieces cut out and rearranged in different places?

It was really fun for me seeing Jeremy Fink on the big screen. I missed some of the subplots from the book, but i understood that they had to streamline it. I’m hoping it comes to one of the movie channels so i can stumble across it and be all geeked out. ;o)

My favorite by its self book by Wendy mass is the candy makers
I love the candymakers!!! But I am not exactly sure why. I became a fan of Wendy Mass because of the humor in the books. But that one did not have all that much humor in it. I guess that a good author just can’t write a bad book.
My favourite in total is 13 Gifts , but for stand alone books its a tie between Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, and Every Soul A Star

You are totally an inspiration to me and I’m sooooooo excited that “tithe Last Present ” is finally out! I LIVE for the Willow Falls series. In 4th or 5th grade, “11 Birthdays” was a Black Eye Susan nominee, and I totally voted for it. I can’t wait to readable your new book about the taxi cab once it comes out! When i was out of college i worked as an “extra” for a while so it was fun to revisit those days with FINALLY. There weren’t any cute movie stars in the ones i was in, though as far as i recall. :o)

I just finished reading “Pi in the Sky” within the last hour. I loved the beautiful friendship between Joss and Annika! Gah! Hello Wendy! (I hope you don’t mind if I call you that)! I’m very, very excited for The Last present coming out! I won’t get it for a while (Australia) but the release date is still marked on my calendar! I finished Every Soul a Star the other day, I can’t believe I never read it before. It is now one of my favourite books and I’ve only read it once! I would also love a sequel to it, but I would be excited for any book written by you. Thanks for being such a great writer!

please please please write another willow falls book! There are so many ?s I have. So first whats going o with leoand amanda? What happens to Angelina? What about the whole Rory Jake Madison thing? and David and Tara? Also what happens in the way future? Whi does everyone marry and whathaplens with graxe? Who does she pass it on to?
